Hey guys i am starting to probe around a bit with free blogs containing adsense and affiliate banners. What would be some good methods of promotion, with very little budget?

In the Private section there is a thread about getting $100 Facebook credit. If you're not already a Member of Warrior Forum, you should be.

        Hi Vicky,

Most of these options are completely free and will only take up a few hours of your time.

        1. Forum marketing
        2. Article Marketing (Ezine, Squidoo, Hubpages)
        3. Social Marketing (Facebook, Twitter, Dig)
        4. Guest Posting
        5. Blog commenting
        6. Blog carnivals

Since you mentioned "promotional budget", I won't talk about free promotional strategies.

    1. A solo email ad sent to a responsive mailing list consisting of people interested in topics and sub topics covered by your target keywords because they have needs and problems which can be satisfied or solved by what you are offering on your blog.
Easy How To: You can post an ad on the JV section here if you don't find a solo email ad offer there that exactly matches your target audience, budget and requirements.
Additional Requirement: Excellent copywriting skills and experience.
Advice: Hire an excellent copywriter with a proven track record of successful results if you do not have excellent copywriting skills and experience.
Average Cost: $5 to $50 per solo email ad without copywriter invoice or $100 to $5000 per solo email ad with copywriter invoice

Additional Advice: If you have a product or service packages of your own to offer or if you can develop your own products and service packages to offer, then you can look for solo email ad offers or contact responsive mailing list owners consisting of lots of people included in your target audience then discuss possible joint ventures with them like a $X commissions per sale with or without a pay per click or pay per impression arrangement. You can even offer your products or service packages rebranded under the ownership of the mailing list owners for $X commissions per sale with or without a pay per click or pay per impression arrangement.

About your question re: FB marketing - Since I won't talk about free promotional strategies, you can launch FB ad campaigns. You can check if FB has a pay per click or pay per impression arrangement, though I prefer solo email ad campaigns over FB ad campaigns because solo email ad campaigns have been providing my business with the best results in terms of paid promotional campaigns.

I also recommend having your own products or service packages to offer because you can find affiliates who will find customers on their own for their benefit and yours.

In my opinion, blog commenting is a good way to promote websites, because we can put site's link in the signature. If someone is interested in our comment, maybe he will go to our site to visit.

Since blog commenting has been said, I'll share a paid blog promotion campaign that's inexpensive: Buy blog post links from blog owners with good traffic volume comprised of people interested in your content, products and services because it could help them satisfy their needs, solve their problems or get what they need and want. You can improve the Google PR of your own blog pages if the blog post pages where you place your backlinks are dofollow and have high Google PR. Also, a blog post page with your link that ranks high on Google and other popular search engines for your target keywords could possibly funnel viewers from those blog post pages to your own blog post pages.

I've found guest posting to be the #1 way to get traffic, since the audience basically becomes yours for the day and they trust you because their normal blogger trusts you.

I did a post for problogger.net recently which really helped my subscribes and visitors significantly. It also provides google juice to your site.

I'm always going to favor non-paid methods of building traffic over the paid ones because google likes them more.

Facebook marketing is by far the best way to bring people to your site.

    - Search for targeted friends
    - Join groups in your niche
    - Post snipits from your blog
    - Post links to your blog posts

Facebook and social media are by far the best ways to drive readers to your blog.

Step 1: Set up your page to convert visitors into subscribers. (build your list)
Step 2: Get tracking in place so you can track conversions (actual signups/sales) not traffic.
Step 3: Drive traffic using a variety of methods. Try each method for 90 days.
Step 4: Use the tracking in Step 2, dump the losers and expand work in the winners.

    Ideas for Step 2:
    -ad swaps
    -fiverr
    -traffic exchanges
    -seo
