I'm afraid what it's much more likely to give you an indication of is which authors have (usually mistakenly, and sometimes contrary to EZA's terms of service) sent traffic to their article in an attempt to get it onto the "most viewed list", for promotional reasons. It tells you nothing at all about their click-through rate, and the very highest viewing figures for the article can often correlate with the very lowest CTR's, simply because the sort of traffic usually "sent" in that way tends to be incentivized and/or non-targeted traffic with little/no real interest. Rather misleading, in other words.

The theory is interesting, but the reality is that you simply can't judge the success of an article, or its traffic, or its CTR, from the viewing figures. I'm "just saying"!

It is possible, however the question I think you should be asking is “Is it feasible?” And like others have said here, that will depend on a few factors such as your niche, competition, and article quality.

Ezine can bring in a lot of traffic, but it is more of a “slow and steady” traffic than some other forums of marketing.

So you will need to build a large quantity of articles in order to get something resembling a steady flow of traffic.

A simple technique that will help you write a lot of articles without burning out is to write one article a day.

Another technique you can use to make your Ezine articles more successful is to repost your articles on other directories with a link pointing back to your Ezine article and to your domain.
