How in the world can you build a list with Adwords, these days?
I finish the course, go through my notes, spend a couple of days creating my landing pages, including content, making it a landing 'site' with articles, links and useful content etc etc.
I try to start my campaign but every time I submit an ad, it gets disapproved within about 1-2 minutes. The reason being 'Site Policy.' I spend an evening adding and subtracting elements to the landing pages and resubmitting. I have T&C's, Privacy Policy, Contact Page, Transparency, Useful Content, External Links, Internal Links all sorted. I'm not promoting any affiliate or CPM offers, no get rich quick schemes or anything remotely dodgy. I have a video lesson on the page with a prompt to sign up at the end, to get more videos. Still, every time the pages aren't accepted.
I pour through the Adwords guidelines again and find this...
"Examples of prohibited websites:
Websites that offer a free gift in exchange for personal information
Websites that request personal information to get the results of a survey or quiz
Examples of acceptable websites:
Websites that request personal information for legitimate lead generation or business purposes"
So it seems it's my opt in form that's causing the problem. Which brings up the question of; How are we supposed to build a list? All of my selling and pre-selling is done via my autoresponder sequence, so capturing emails is essential for me.
Is there anybody out there with any advice? Anyone with a successful adwords campaign that can offer tips about landing pages/sites that still collect emails?
