Hey Warriors,

I see a lot of you are utilizing your signatures to promote your products, and that's wonderful.

HOWEVER: I have seen some UGGGGGGGGLY signatures today. If you want to be more effective, you need to format your signature correctly.

If you've got a bunch of links, make sure they are grouped in the same area. And make sure you're using anchor text, because a url with no explanation is not going to get you anywhere.

Also, use your keywords as anchor text. The Warrior Forum WILL give you a free boost in google if you use this trick.

Cheers,
Lazy

      Hey Lazy,

      good tips!

      I would add:

-CAPS , grab attention because your mind is used to paying associating CAPS with "emphasis"

-Little trick with PATTERNS,you can alternate your link colors from yellow to black, red to blue,etc.,etc.

-The last, who can resist the famous "Don't click this"?

You may even find that the amount of work that comes through is consistent an ongoing If people focus on what they give out rather than focus on the Sig itself, they may just find a whole lot more comes back in.

....and what does that quote mean in your signature, is it Klingon swear words? Like "wee" or "poo"?

Or did you just type "have a sushi quiche" while drinking???

I only ask because if I said that after too many pints I would at least spell it like that.

      My tip.

Don't have a link that says "Make 1000's of $$$ in minutes!" when it's obvious from you're posts that you don't know how do that.

No one is clicking on your link.

        Here's a thought.

Maybe some people just don't want to link their sigs to anything. I particularly like the ones with some smart quote or just funny one-liner. It's been done lots of times, but I got a chuckle when I saw... I got nothin' and other similar comments.

        Another tip.

Offer something in your sig that is relevant to the people most likely to view it. I've seen links going to non-marketing offers, although...

Every once in awhile, I toss in my anxiety site and my dog site because I figure... there's gotta be SOMEbody in here who can relate to those topics in their lives.

Which reminds me, I should put my dog link back. I want more subscribers who will love reading my dog stories every week.

As they say in commercials: don't try it!
You can NOT give "link juice" to your friends and clients!

He was referring to have link to charities or good causes. For example, you can click in my sig link and donate.

I would read the forum TOS carefully before doing this.

I was under the impression that you were only allowed to link to your own sites in your sig.

Maybe things have changed - but be careful who/what you link to. If it's not yours you may find your sig gets removed.

HTML code is not allowed so you have to use BBCode like this instead,
      [ url="http:www.google.com"]Search here[/url ]

To make my BBCode example above work, just remove the beginning and
ending spaces inside the brackets and this is the result you should receive.

      Search here

Some of the "suggestions" being offered here are actually against the forum rules. To avoid having your signature removed from your posts, be sure to read the rules.

Also, most of the suggestions are opinion. I haven't seen one person that mentioned they've ran any tests. Rather than relying on opinion, test what works for you. Ugly sometimes gets much better results than pretty ... and yes, I have tested that. Notice I said sometimes.
