Here's a BlueFart thought: make a script that shows BestBuy.com as the home page, after 60 seconds redirects to your site

Now that would be a great idea, especially if you could persuade them to do 2-3 stores for $5 - that would barely even cover gas expenses, but you never know - some people might be willing to do it.

Very creative, indeed!!! I'd love to know if you get clients based on your websites at Best Buy. Too bad the nearest Best Buy is an hour away from me. I guess that's the price for living on "Wilderness Rd" (very descriptive, if you get my meaning)

There really is now way to track it. But I did not see any significant increase in subscribers, but my numbers a too high to tell if that made an impact.

I just thought it was cool to have my site up on a 42 inch screen in the middle of a crowded retail store.

One thing I noticed is that they reload the local security policy on the machines every five minutes in Best Buy. The great thing is that they have the Local Policy file sitting in the root of the "C" Drive. Just have a version of it copied to a flash drive along with a batch file to reset it and deploy to each machine with a USB port. Once you do run the batch file to load the new policy and you're set! Every five minutes, it will reload the policy and your page will be the default home page on the browser...I know, it's a little devious, but it is fun and harmless.

Just rinse and repeat and before you know it, you have an army of ads running all over the place!
