Ezine and article dir Pen names usage Question

When I started out, I did not know you could choose pen names within ezine, so I created another account with different name for my one freelance project.

1. Will that cause a problem as I log in from same IP address for both these account?
2. Can I ask them to merge these two accounts or do not worry about it.

In addition to; For those who write under various pen names in other directories and hubpages, do you create different account for each niche or keep all in one account?

I was thinking of ease of not remembering many passwords and email account, keeping in one account but someone mentioned that keep it separate for each niches.

What works for you all? Thank you.

Don't create more accounts. I think it's against Ezinearticles.com's Terms of Service. If they find out, they will close the accounts.

What you should do is to create one pen name per niche if you desire.

Hey, illegality is still illegality even if everybody is doing it. A crime doesn't suddenly become acceptable in a good society just because almost all the citizens, maybe including the president or his son, is into it.

Now, delete the accounts if you can. If you can delete them, leave them for good.

My God, a Crime? Aren't we bit dramatic?

Honesty never seems to work, but it's always the best path. You could take a chance and tell them what happened. Maybe they'll understand?????

          Blimey that's a bit OTT!!

We all make mistakes. Just tell them about it, apologise and say that you didn't know it was against their rules. Probably it would be best for you if the articles on the second account are left as they are and you don't submit to it again. You could always set up the same pen name with an initial added to your main account.

Personally I don't use pen names, I have sites in lots of different niches and would probably get myself confused if I used different names If you do use pen names make sure that you use the same one for each article if you submit to other sites.

There is, actually, a potentially serious issue involved here, in the practical sense that EZA does sometimes delete multiple accounts (and their articles!) on discovering them.

I would either delete one of the accounts, or (if you can't do that), contact them explaining that you made a mistake, have now read the terms of service and realized that, and would be grateful for their assistance in removing one of the accounts and - if possible - transferring its existing articles into a pen-name within the other. (Any articles from one account that might disappear from the site can always be re-submitted in a new pen-name, too). I do think that maintaining the current situation and "hoping for the best" is very high-risk indeed and may well turn out in future to be even more inconvenient. They're very reasonable and friendly, as long as they don't suspect that people are trying to fool them.

            Good luck!

            Patricia,

I can understand not using pen names, it is confusing the heck out of me too. :-) I guess I started it once so I might keep it, too much to undo it all. I am planning to call/email EZA and hope to correct. We all make mistakes and learn through it. Thank you.

            Alexa,

Yes, I have decided to let EZA know and see how it will work out. I can only wish and hope they will understand as there is no ulterior motive as I am barely starting out in IM. Thank you.

I use one account at each of the article directories I use and the same pen names, especially if I plan to submit the same article to different directories. The account is always the same but the pen names I use are unique for each of my niche websites.
