Anybody got a process for cleaning their list?

Here's my issue....
Late last summer I began transferring my list over to aWeber from my phplist system. Unfortunately (beside the point actually) a big majority haven't made the switch.
What I've been doing is continuing to 'pound' on my phplist list - which also includes those people who have subscribed via aWeber.
So what I'm asking, is there anybody out there who's developed a process to screen out duplicate email addresses from my phplist list?
Or do I need to write my own php script for this (I'm capable of doing this if necessary - just don't want to reinvent the wheel).
