Having troubles with writing articles

My problem is grammatically (not spelling-wise) but with adding commas. I can never figure out where to put the comma(,?) so it is a complete sentence.

Its so frustrating because otherwise I feel my writing is decent and I could at least write for people and make a little money. But this has practically developed into a fear as I'm writing.

So my question to fellow article writers is do people care too much if you misplace commas and have a few grammatical errors(If so I'll continue practicing)? I know my spelling is on par but I can't figure out how to use commas properly.

Interestingly enough, you only used one comma in your entire post. It's written quite well, if you ask me. (I know this forum post is different than an actual article...)

    I tend to overuse commas.

I think you have a good foundation here.

I feel the same way about commas, that I overuse them, or misuse them; the same goes for semicolons. I worry that my writing will look like it was written by Christopher Walken, with pauses, in unusual places.

Read your article out loud. If there needs to be a pause when you're speaking, add a comma there.

If it helps at all, I very strongly recommend this delightfully written bookthis delightfully written book , in distinct preference to the more popularly recommended "Strunk & White's Elements of Style" or other "similar" books. I wouldn't worry about it too much, though: if this is the biggest problem you ever encounter in article marketing, you'll do pretty well.

I'm going to order this book, I struggle with colons and semi-colons.

When I do try and use them, it usually ends up a mess

What are you using the articles for?

If for article marketing, it may not matter as much. If for clients, you may need to find an editor or mentor to help you out.
