FTP - Brower Error Message

Hey I recently downloaded a Squeeze page template and uploaded it to my FTP.

I should be able to edit it in my browser but instead I get this error message:

"The requested URL was not found on this server"

"Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request"

Any ideas? (Yes noob to FTP)

Was this a HTML file, php file? Any other info you can supply may help.
Also to edit the page in your browser is it for wordpress or some other type of "content management system" CMS

Check for any typos . URL's are case sensitive, that means folder names and file names too.

Here is a typical example: If the URL is www.mydomain.com/folder/file-1.html

...and you type or ask to go to www.mydomain.com/Folder/file-1.html, you'll get a 404 because you capitalized the F in folder so it will not find file-1.html at the end of URL because it never found "folder" in the first place.

Check that out with this in mind and you will find the error GoodnightSweetRatRace!

    Take care,

Most probably either the file has not been transferred or it has been transferred into a different directory.

404s are also caused by file/folder permission issues.
