Man Im so tired of ezine articles and their waiting period only to have my articles rejected and have to another week for review I just can't do it anymore time is money. I know there has to be a better way to your articles out there and get a lot of traffic.

There is. It's called ArticlesBase and Buzzle. They both rank as high in SERPS and have as good PR as EzineArticles.

Although ezine was the first taste of article money over time they started to suck for me. But thanks for the info. What about go articles?

If you are having problems with spelling, grammar , etc. Try out this site called grammerly . com. This site will do a complete analysis of your articles and help you correct what is wrong. They have a 7 day free trial.

Don't you get auto approval on Ezine after you've submitted a certain amount of articles?

GoArticles is good for extra backlinks, but not for traffic. You should submit the SAME article to at least 5 places. Buzzle, ArticlesBase, GoArticles, SearchWarp and Article City.

No. They'll never give anyone auto-approval, even paid $100/month customers.

I take it that duplicate content is not an issue here as long as your not dealing with EZA?

No duplicate content is not an issue. The real problem for IM'ers on the duplicate content issue is duplicate content of two or more on your own website or any website.

I.E. If you have two copies of something both on one site, yours or someone else's that will draw the penalty.

If one copy of a story as an example were to flag as duplicate content if placed on multiple sites you would not have RSS feeds or any syndicated news sites because they would all be duplicate copy.

          Next...
I would also put my article in a document server such as issuu.com
G loves these things and they rank quite well.

Don't give up on EzineArticles bro, I wrote an article a couple years ago that makes money every day now. It's only pennies and sometimes a few bucks but my blog isn't designed "just " to make money.

I know it takes sometimes up to two weeks, but long term if you provide good content and a good user or reader experience by offering something interesting and of value, you will do well.

Actually, duplicate articles never has been a problem with Ezine. It's getting them approved and the long wait periods. Buzzle is the one with the duplicate problem. They want it first, or not at all.

So what you do is: Submit a copy to Ezine and Buzzle at the same time. Ezine will take 7-10 days to approve anyway so you don't have to worry. After about 24 hours, your article will be approved by Buzzle. Then you can just keep submitting to everyone else.

Ezine, Buzzle, and ArticlesBase are the 3 TOP article directories I've seen that get good SERP rankings. Google doesn't ONLY just love Ezine Articles. Plus, Ezine's rejection methods are almost just stupid.

My articles are approved within 2 days. I only submit unique articles.

Ezine and Articlebase work best for me as far as syndication is concerned.

            Have to try buzzle.

If you are just starting with ezine the best thing to do is to submit 10 articles. Make sure all are of decent quality. That will speed things up a little and in no time you will have Expert, Platinum or whatever status

          Blilard,

You have been very helpful to me. Giving me very good tips several times.
Let me try to return you the favours.

          FYI
Buzzle requires a sample article before they give anyone an account. And that article does not constitute as the first article with them. Fine. I successfully got an account.

Then I sent an original article to Buzzle and EZA at the same time. Buzzle deleted it after not even 24 hours. This means Buzzle rejected it for some reasons only known to them. So I proceeded in sending the same article to several Articles sites. They all approved it.

After 6 days EZA approved that article with a badge as an expert - the exact same article that Buzzle rejected. Different org different policies. Fine. I respect that but.....

I normally don't like to waste time with super stringent sites. So bye bye Buzzle. It has PR6 but I'm not worried because there are so many options.

So here's some Articles site with good PR:
          --stringent--
          1. Suite101 - PR7
          2. EZA - PR6
          --not stringent--
          3. ArticleCity - PR6
          4. ArticlesBase - PR6
          5. ArticleSnatch - PR5
          6. ArticleDashboard - PR5

The least stringent but very high PR and flexible options:
          7. MySpace - PR9
          8. Squidoo - PR8
          9. Hubpages - PR6
          10. AssociatedContent (owned by Yahoo) - PR 6

          Many, many more out there.

So don't be frustrated by getting rejected by 1 party. Forget them. And don't look back to amend things according to their fancies because it is simply a waste of your precious time. Go forward.... nothing else but forward.

You have scores of other sites which are always welcoming you. They give you better values and have the same or even higher PR. And Google likes them. Many appears on 1st page SERPs.

And do not worry about DUPLICATE CONTENT if the content are yours. Even if the CONTENT on your sites are taken from Article Sites or PLRs, there is no such thing as GOOGLE PENALTY for duplicate content. This is a popular belief but it is simply a myth.

I received that advice from a well-known author, who has been in the online content industry for 10 years, has his own Article Site and his own content distribution services as well as hundreds of paid writers under his wing.

Go forward with other options and you will enjoy productive time fully.

      Hey Blilard

I usually use EzineArticles the best way and get my articles to be approved within few hours.

But to do this you need to be a Premium Member!

Yes, it will cost you some money, but if you use it the best way, it will worth the investment.

Premium Members have huge benefits, in fact. One of them is to upload all your articles once and they will approve them in just few hours, but the best part is, you can schedule the time your articles will appear.

This is great for your site(s) from search engines view point.

      I hope this will help.

That way, you get all your accounts banned, if they ever notice. That contravenes their terms of service and many Warriors have been banned for exactly that reason. There's also no conceivable benefit from doing so, anyway, when you can have as many different pen-names as you like.

In fact, it would be directly counterproductive, since each new author's first 10 articles are invariably (and unsurprisingly) the slowest to be processed and approved.

With apologies for sounding confrontational/argumentative, the collected quantity of plain factual misinformation in this thread really is quite remarkable. If this is how people are getting their "article marketing advice", it's not surprising the success-rate's so low, and that people end up posting threads here under the title "Article marketing doesn't work any more". I'm "just saying" ...

            Well said Alexa (as always!).

I came into this thread wanting to offer some advice from my own article marketing ventures, but I am just not sure where to start.

I guess I could just say that EZA has always been really good to me and I have not had a problem with long wait times for submissions to be accepted (perhaps a few days, but this doesn't really matter. I can use that time to write more articles or to work on other aspects of my business). Unless you are trying to jump on a fleeting marketing trend which provides you only a 2 days window, I suggest that a bit of a wait is not a big problem.

Platinum author articles are approved pretty quickly so just work to that status.

As far as Buzzle goes, from my understanding, they require content that is unique to their site. Not posted elsewhere.

    Jeffrey73,

How does the direct traffic of ArticlesBase compare to EzineArticles. Not every article can get ranked so it's nice when you submit them and just 24 hours later they have 50 views and 15 clicks to your site.

Is ArticlesBase good for direct traffic after you submit your article like Ezine?

So maybe you should improve the quality of your writing and learn why you are getting rejected. I have never once been rejected from ezinearticles. If you are putting up stuff that is crap or doesn't line up with their standards, of course you are going to be rejected.

As far as the time it takes to have your stuff reviewed, yes you can put your stuff up on other article networks also. But I would really try to find out why you are being rejected all of the time and fix the problem. It will only improve you as a writer.

If your articles in any way resemble your style of writing in here, then you definitely have work on improving your quality of writing - no wonder they aren't approving any of your articles.

I've never had any problems with Ezine and my articles are always approved fast. As a matter of fact, I was upgraded instantly as a platinum writer after my first 10 submissions.

Ezine gives a lot of importance to quality, and that's why it's the best article directory out there.

I think after reading this thread I'll go to sleep. My head is starting to hurt. Thank your for keeping it real Alexa, Chris, Paulie, Scrofford, and probably a couple others I missed.

Tomorrow I'm going to get drunk, crank out a few articles, submit them all over the place, then come back and complain when no one accepts my low quality. I swear, it is them, not the Strawberry Vodka.

Honey.....Scoot over, I'm ready to sleep now....

Ezinearticles is the only game in town in my opinion.

I don't even mess with any other article directory. The ROI doesn't make it worth it. I know some will disagree with me, but EZA smokes any other article directory in terms of exposure and ranking.

People have built entire 6-7 figure businesses by posting large amounts of articles that point to a squeeze page...and using email marketing to sell and promote their products along with affiliate products.

      My favorite model?

[+] Post 1/2 your articles on your site and 1/2 on EZA
[+] Spin a good percentage of those.
[+] Each spun article has one link to EZA and one to your blog article.
[+] Submit spun article to a blog network (1WayLinks, SEOLinkVine, or SyndicateKahuna)
[+] Optional - Create a Link Wheel with a Service Like SEOLinkRobot or SENuke

...that is it! Honestly...this is a way to eventually build massive traffic to your blog. If you do a good job monetizing, you will create a full-time income.

You can complicate this as much as you like...but this is really how to capitalize on EZA.

Good, simple model Rusty. I've been looking into 1WayLinks for awhile. Do you know if you have to spin your own article, or do they do that for you?

No, that's not what it is at all, Gijsbertus. Since you ask.

Eligibility for Platinum status comes after 10 approved articles, not after 35.

The additional 25 are a requirement only from people whose 10-article assessment fails them for Platinum because they haven't respected the terms of service of the site to which they've submitted their material.

The required 10 articles to achieve Platinum status can be submitted all at once. It's actually common for new authors who have read the editorial guidelines (which comprise only one page) to get to Platinum within 3 or 4 days - sometimes even 2 days. Very little patience required.

Inevitably, those who've encountered what they see as unreasonable delays and/or difficulties tend to be somewhat overrepresented in all such forum discussions. If you're interested in arriving at a more balanced view, this recent thread offers a rather different perspective.

Ezine has an "Expert Author" status that you can hit after having 10 articles approved. That cuts the wait time down to a day or two in most cases.

The most common reason articles are rejected by Go, Buzzle and eZine are "self serving". In other words your article reads like a sales pitch or a key word link bait blurb. If you want your article to get more than just the directory backlink itself, you need the big three.

Those are where the site and blog owners looking for content pick it up. I had one client get 147 good backlinks from one eZine article within three days of it being approved. It helped raise him from page three of the SERPS to position 7 in less than a week.

So it depends on what you want - directory links or a variety of links. If you're only after directory backlinks, skip eZine. It isn't worth the time and effort.

Ezine articles may be tops in exposure but I think the quality of their articles is deteriorating. I find a lot of spelling and grammar errors, in addition to incoherent content. And there are way too many unrelated resources boxes being allowed.

But, still, EZA is tops in traffic. But for how long??

Anyway, if you are having difficulty with EZA accepting your articles, perhaps you should consider contracting with a ghostwriter for your EZA. Then you can take your published EZA content and spin it for submission to other directories.

Umm, just a thought- not a plug for hiring me!

There are other ways of getting your articles out there in cyberspace than worrying about giving up on ezinearticles. For example what about someones blog. Content syndication where people are looking for content.

There are many top blogs on the internet who would be interested in content applicable to the blog as long it is interesting and inviting. There are tons of traffic searching for something on top bloggers sites. John Chow, problogger, are examples. The idea would be to ask the owner if you could place your article on there site.

This is one of the top strategys for driving traffic.

Did you ever think of reading their terms and conditions AND complying with them before you posted an article?

This will dramatically reduce the number of rejections you get, although the waiting time won't change much until you become a trusted author.

    Their site, their rules.

Play by them and you'll be fine.

I have the same problem with ezine. it takes a lot of time to get the article approved. What i hate about it is, when they ask to change the title for some reason. Once I had to change it three times before they felt it was good to be published!

    OP,

Yeah I will echo a few others and simply recommend that you just learn how to not get articles rejected. The biggest one people seem to struggle with is that you can't plug what you're promoting in the resource box anywhere in the article.

Well I think the problem is with the guidelines given by EZA. EZA has some specific guidelines to follow like the keyword arrangement, the style of writing etc. This is pretty easy to follow their guidelines. Just go through their guidelines page once and I hope that would solve your problem.

In fact, Ezine articles is a problem with copy never. It's getting them approved and long wait times. Buzzle problem is with copying. They want before it, or not at all. So you have to do: at the same time send a copy to Ezine and Buzzle. Ezine 7-10 days as it will accept to take you do not have to worry. After about 24 hours, your article will be approved by Buzzle. Then you can just keep everyone present.
