Which is a better way to attract leads to my site?
There are two ways I am looking at here that I am going to invest my money and time into but I just want to know your opinion on this

If I use Youtube I can go viral in a short time and get as much visitor to my site but will they convert well?
If I use article marketing its hardwork and could take quite a while and it converts well am I right?

So,which one is better?
#articles #youtube

It's true that videos have the potential to go viral and gain far more exposure than articles.

Conversion is another issue altogether - this is going to depend on how you craft the video, whether it is interesting and relevant to your target audience, as well as whether it has a strong call to action which leads seamlessly to your offer.

Do both! Start off writing articles and then move onto video's. They both work well do some trial @ error and see what gives you the best results!

As Jay says, if you can do both then do it. If not then it's down to personal preference. The volume and quality of my articles in comparison to my video production capacity/skills means that article marketing is the right route for me.

I would do both - Youtube can reach a much wider audience, however with Articles it is much quicker to create, test, trial-error etc.

I agree do both. I find making the videos more fun than writing articles.

Do the article first and then abridge it if necessary to keep the time within 5 minutes for a narration.. The simplest thing to do then is to search out royalty free images and craete a powerpoint presentation with them based around your main article points with some nice but subtle animation. Then screen record a slideshow of the presentation with you narrating the article copy.

Both have their own charm and benefits! Both sources can make profits for you, if utilized properly. It all depends on which type of visitors you need! If you need people who like entertainment and fun then YouTube might be a better option.

But if you want regular visitors who loiter around in the Internet searching for perfect solutions then Article Marketing should be your priority!

    Regards!

    i think.
youtube and articles are the best way to get traffic.
youtube is good as we have to upload the video only one time for lifetime.
in order to continue traffic we have to write articles on daily basis.
but article gives more traffic than youtube.

If you do plan on making videos, I'd caution against using one of those robotic-sounding voiceover tools, as such videos have very low chances of going viral or attracting human visitors to your website.

I would recommend doing both shouldn't take too long if you base the videos on the articles.

It depends on niche market, approach, age and class of final consumer... and much more.

But video it's a must these days - as long as your copetitors don't kill your Youtube account.

    Both!!!

Here is why, it is connecting with real people. Some like to read, some like to watch video's. Its not about the method, its about what works, so test both.

    Cheers,

Must you do both? No.... As a matter of fact you don't have to do either one. You don't even need to promote you site. In all honesty, you do not even need to create a site. But, if you want to build a business.......

      Should you do both? Yes.

Try this idea on for size. Create a video you think has the potential to go viral. Write a brief article about the content of the video and post it to your blog and to the article directories. Embed the video in your blog in the same post as your description.

You can of course reverse this process, too. Write an article of great content. Create a short energetic video discussing the content of the article.

You are not really "creating" both. You are leveraging your content into both.

          Hi Najmi,

Videos do convert better than articles for most niches.

It must have something to do with the more human element.

However with videos you don't have the benefit of SEO to help them get a lot of view.

YouTube may get a lot of traffic in a bunch, but articles tend to continually bring in traffic in steadily over their life time.

The question you should ask yourself is will it be easier to create a YouTube video that goes viral or an article that brings in steady traffic.

Just do both - If you get links for your vids and articles and get onto the first page of google for your search term then you can get a lot of traffic very quickly. They're two great methods when done correctly.

My vision is, the more submissions the more people get to see it, and the more conversions. So add your video to youtube, vidler, vimeo, any video upload site you know!

Whether you choose articles, Youtube or both, make sure that you pay attention to quality!

A good article will convert better than a rubbish video and vice versa.

If both are good, then you'll do well. If both are rubbish, you'll have wasted your time.

...youtube videos can rank very well on google even for very competitive keywords !

But the best marketing plan I think is to do both and promote it with social bookmarking.

I would go for Youtube definitely!!! You can craft your videos to presell visitors with tips that they can implement right away depending on your niche. The more likely you do that the better chance you have of converting them into customers.

Also, spread them as much as you can within different video sharing sites. The more you spread, the more eyeballs you have, the more reach you have, and the more likely for the videos to convert.
