How do you write articles faster?

Okay so I'm trying to make money writing articles. But I'm having one heck of a time making it worth my time. 1,000 words takes me 1.5 hours to write and at 6 bucks for the whole article that's really not worth it. I'm actually a very very fast typer. Where my problem comes in at is doing quick and effiecent research. If anyone can help me out on how to write article quicker it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I've found that in doing quick research, make a short outline of how your article is going to go. List your main paragraph topic, and then a few words about different points you will discuss.

If you have this outline, that eliminates the need to stop and think when you are actually writing the article.

    • Thank you. I appreciate all the other comments but I really don't want to be spending any money in any attempt to make money. Not yet.

Usually one is faster speaking than writing. Check out the Software "Dragon Naturally Speaking" to which you can dictate your articles. It then automatically converts your spoken article to text.

Also, you might consider buying Jason Fladliens eBook on "How to write an article in 7 minutes". It's an amazing read.

I decided the best way to get the articles done faster was to get somebody else to do it.

Have you ever thought of this? some writers have already written in niches before.

Do you have auto-complete set up? MS Word and Open Office both have this. I use Open Office. You can set certain parameters, and then as you type it "learns" how to complete words. When the right word is displayed, you hit the 'enter' button.

For example, you can set it for words that are 8 letters or longer, and have it start guessing as soon as 3 letters are typed. So, you type in "r-e-l" and it completes it as "relationship". If that's the word you want, click enter. If you want the word to be "relationships", you can hit enter, then add the 's'. It takes a little while to get used to it, but even if it saves a minute or two per article, that adds up.

When it comes to research, I like to use Spreeder.com (I'm not affiliated with them in any way). It's an easy to use speed reading program that lets you set how fast you want to read. Copy the source text, then paste it into the Spreeder window. Set a few options, and start reading. Hit the pause button as soon as an idea comes to you.

    All the best,
    Michael
