Can articlesbase close or delete your account?

Hi,

just writing a lot of articles for articlesbase these days and im wondering if anyone has ever had them close or delete a account. I have never heard of this before but im wondering if I should back up my articles just in case.

Oh another thing....does articlesbase allow direct linking to affiliate pages like amazon or clickbank? Or do I have to do a redirect? Thanks

Like any online or offline business, they sure can close their doors and shut down all accounts overnight. You should always place a copy of your articles online on your hosting space.

Basically, you should have a link to every article you submit towards any article site on your hosting space. So your articles will be published by them and a copy published by you.

    I keep 4 copies:
    1) article site
    2) Hosting space
    3) On my hard drive
    4) On my image backup

    Take care,

I'm sure they can if you did something to break their rules. As long as you stick by their terms then I don't think you'll have a problem with your account being closed.

I don't know of anyone personally who's had their account close by articlesbase.

Sorry, not sure about the linking to affiliate rule!

    They can close accounts.

You should clearly back up your articles anyway, quite apart from this reason.

    No.

I don't know whether they allow that, sorry.

I don't know about Amazon, but it'll certainly be difficult to sell Clickbank products that way, even if it's allowed there. Making any steady income from selling Clickbank products rests primarily on two things: (i) effective pre-selling, and (ii) building a list, and by direct-linking you can do neither of these.

I promise I don't mean it impolitely, Corey, but three of your four questions are answered in their editorial guidelines, which is only one short page: it's far more reliable to check the source than it is to ask people in a forum for their opinion, you know?

Thanks Alexa. I know what you mean but I have had success before doing direct links and redirecting. It really can depend on how good the sales page is. You can pre sale people in articles and then let the sales page convert them.

Of course this is something im doing on the side too. I am building a list in two niches right now also which is going well You always provide good advice though

Hi everyone! I'm a new member from Estonia.

Articlesbase banned my account and 57 articles for nothing. Last article was alive for over two months. All I did , was building backlinks for that last article. Worked 15 h a day on that and 7 days a week. It was many times in front page of google. Even nr.1. I will stay away from them!
Here's the message i got from articlesbase:

      Dear Mike,
Your ArticlesBase account has been banned, because of unapproved content!
All your articles have been rejected.

      Best regards,
      The ArticlesBase Team

Im sorry to hear that, but here is a suggestion, why don't you try putting your articles on your site first and whatever back linking that you do will be from the articles on your site.
That way you will always be safe and your site will rate 1st rather than an articlebase article. Because as we all know article directories are not reliable.

@valimets: Just as simple as that. Articlebase banned you because of you unapproved articles. Why don't you check your articles? There must be problem with the content. Articlebase is very strict in creation of articles just like ezinearticle.

As far as I know, ArticlesBase hasn't come out and said they will be cleaning up things in light of the Panda update, but it's possible that they took a closer look at articles that had already been approved in order to "weed things out" a bit.

Why not just contact them and see exactly what the problem was? Even if they don't let you publish there anymore, it could be a good lesson for next time.
