        G`day,

took about 5 minutes to download, install and produce this

It`s a BIG resource hog ... it has Paint.NET intergrated in it so
that uses a lot and it will come in handy to ... good find but I`ll
have to run this without anything else ... think I`ll handle it

A couple of things to note about GOTD...

You need to install the stuff on the day it is availabl.e

They have an activation process that licenses the software and it will only run on the day of the Giveaway.

Regarding for personal use only, I have asked a couple of the vendors about this, and their feelings was it was for my own personal use to do what ever I wanted to with the output. I couldnt sell/lease the program itself nor transfer the license, but if I wanted to use it to do (whatever the program was designed for) it was ok. So just ask the vendors themselves.

I have installed a few of the products and have been pleased with them.

Note that this software actually manipulates a back end program. The program behind it is free and available for download and updates (the version included is out of date anyways.)

Quick question for anyone who has used this. We downloaded it as we get giveaway of the day, and it completely used 100% of the CPU of my husband's computer, and basically killed it.

He has a vista machine, any ideas?

      Hey Bev,

I have Vista running here on my laptop and I didn't notice any sort
      of drag at all.

sorry, its not stunning.... and, that angle is totally f'd up.

no one puts a book balancing on the edge like that, the book would fall over.

    lol

    totally unrealistic.

LOL, there are many other options Dave. CD cases, multi
book sets, magazines, spiral notebook, that just happens
to be the one I opened first.

For someone that can't afford PhotoShop or your services,
      it's a great alternative.

Picture the book spinning like a top and I have a very good
      camera

Thanks for pointing that out Bob, I was not aware of that fact.

Still a great way to save a LOT of money if you end up liking it, it's
only $38 as opposed to $699 for PhotoShop.

And how would the makers of this software know anyone is using it for commercial purposes?

I always get a kick out of graphics software as being the answer to graphics design.

Yes, it can turn a flat image into a "3D" looking image to make it more realistic looking.

      However . . .

The actual design of the image itself is what's important , what's eye-catching, and what makes for a truly memorable product image. And that can only be done by someone who is a true graphic artist with a talent for design.

Most "homemade" or "do-it-yourself" designs look homemade.
