If You Haven't Made Money Online, Yet, This Might Help...

Hey Warriors:

I'm seeing more and more post about how many people want to make internet marketing work, but are having trouble seeing results.

So I decided I might share what's helped me (please note: I'm not making millions...and sometimes I'm not even making a thousand a month, but I am making PROFIT and PROGRESS)

!. Don't confuse simple with easy

Just because a method is simple doesn't mean it doesn't take work to make it work. Keep this in mind when you purchase training and products, read it, and say to yourself, "But I thought this would be easy, I have to do this and that. Better wait for the next no work, maximum result product." Truth is you're lying to yourself. No such thing exist, so stop searching for it. With time things will get easier, but you must START the clock!

2. Be persistant

If you want to make it in IM, don't just work on it everytime you need some extra cash. This is a business and you can't neglect it. If you neglect it, it will neglect you!

3. Choose to know a lot about a little vs. a little about a lot

What interest you? If you don't care to write and you don't care to submit items on the web, article marketing is not for you...no matter how much the person who does it is making, just avoid the $1,999,234,991/month making product and move on.

4. Take action

I hear a lot of people saying how they just wasted money on product X. Here's a tip. Use socially proof to deem the product worthy of your time and then make the purchase. After doing so follow the steps and use support the creator offers to your full advantage.

Creators of products love to help, because if you use their product and see results, you've just helped them as well as them helping you. So don't fear support...fear not using it or being offered it all together.

Never tell yourself, "It can't be this is easy, must not work, moving on!" after reading or viewing a product. Try it, if it doesn't work then, just request a refund. You may be saying, you don't want to waste time, but consider this, would you rather spend time learning what doesn't work or spending time thinking about what COULD work....with no action or results.

Okay I'm done. Hope these tips help some of you warriors like it has me.

This is some good stuff Ryan,

It is funny I was talking with Brian and Colin last night about this very thing. Social proof and how people can be swayed by it. Some people will skim a sales copy and look for what others have said. It is quite a phenom.

It is absolutely imperative what you say in this last part Take Action..
This is where a lot of folks get hung up for a variety of reasons. You will never make a dollar if you are not willing to try and fail and try again
    Good stuff

I do this all the time, I skim for proof that others have not only purchased the product, reviewed it, and thought it to be great, but used it and saw results!

Great post just wanted to add one more thing to your list

    CONSISTENCY!!
Make sure you are doing things on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and stick to them. This is where most people fail. They don't see results fast enough so they quit. If you plan to succeed then you will.
Make a schedule, set reminders, whatever you need to do. Make a plan and stick to it.

    Just my 2c

I'm almost ashamed to say but I've had plenty of times where I've given up...often in the same couple of days within applying a method. No dedication whatsoever.

Very well said. This is not something you come into and just expect everything to be easy, you have to keep working at it.

Exactly...I think a lot of people have this perseption that IM is something that can be done instantly by putting up a product or affiliate link and posting it online. If it were that easy, I'd like to say everyone would be doing it...but then again even that takes action. LOL

And for some reason these 'get rich quick schemes' are the ones that appeal to people. I mean getting rich quick sounds super cool, very unlikely, but cool and I guess its just tempting. BUt how many times are you going to bite at that bait before you realize you're not getting rich...or rich quick enough

    Can't agree more with it...

Make money online or (the realistic one) selling stuff online is actually simple thing but require a lot of stuff and process to learn.

It's easy to forget (overlook) that you are creating a real business.

The internet has so many unbelievable success stories that it's easy to be lulled into believing that this is the norm!

While it doesn't have many of the hassles of an off line business it has it's own brutal (sometimes) lessons to learn.

In both focus and persistence are critical.

From my own experience this is a big one. I've received countless emails from prospective clients wondering if my product was "easy" to implement. I always responded that if you want to do things the "easy" way you need to continue going to your nine to five job.

Sometimes this IM stuff isn't really all that simple either. I really consider Internet Marketing just another way to make money in the business the world. Running a business can be hard and complicated.

Very true on both parts. Sometimes IM methods are not easy to implement and sometimes it will only get easier with time and practice, but the key word(s) being time AND practice. Actively working a method and learning as you go.

Don't forget that nothing is "Easy" the first time you try it, even if the steps are laid out in plain English right in front of you.

Think of IM like sports. You can watch NBA players shoot free throws and read up on shooting techniques, but none of that makes you good right off the bat. You must practice first-hand. At first it's difficult - probably much harder than you expected - but if you keep at it, pretty soon you'll wonder "Why can't every body shoot free throws?"

I guarantee that Michael Jordan didn't sink the very first shot he ever took. Yet many of us expect to jump to the NBA level of Internet Marketing without taking very many practice shots. Furthermore, we get frustrated when we don't get an NBA paycheck with the equivalent of a day or two of practicing.

Sorry for the sports analogy, but hopefully ya'll get my point.
