Banner Advertising Question

I want to get into advertising with banner ads but don't really know where to start - other than google.

I want to pay per impression - for brand management and traffic reasons.

Is there a company that someone has had good experience with and has good pricing structures?

I can suggest very affordable targetted banner advertising mediums that I use myself. PM me for more info.

The best place to start is with Google content network. Search Google for your most common keyword phrases and then go through each website in the top 10-20 results and look for websites that allow Google banner ads on them.

Then go into Google Adwords and setup a placement targeted campaign targeting just those sites you found. Make sure you track everything and if all goes well and some or all of those websites become profitable for you, approach them and ask to pay for your banner to be on their website without using Adwords.

If you are advertising on their website then you know roughly what sort of money they are receiving from Google. Offer them more money than Google is paying them but less money than you are paying Google so it's a win win for the both of you.

Media Buying on the internet is a huge subject, it would definately be worth getting some tutorials that touch on the contract issues, which alone can save you a lot of money.

    Some courses I've heard of:
    TrafficEvolution
Media Buying Academy $3992 for all 8 courses covering Radio, TV, etc. as well as Internet ads.
    Media Buying Strategies Unleashed
    Banner Ad Blueprint
Conversion Campus is the last WSO I looked at that touches on Banners it included an hour on the subject.

Self serve networks that don't require the $1000 - $5000 that the big boys charge include:

    AdBlade
    Adbuyer
    AdBrite
    AdEngage
    AdSonar
    Adtoll
    AOL Ad Desk
    Chitika
    Etology
    Pulse360

Most of these have $50-$100 min deposits.
