Post to Blog or EZ Articles?

Hi,

I have a blog that just sells one or two items on it & has no posts.

Someone created an article for me (I had to rewrite most of it). Do you think I should post it to the blog so there's more content, or post it to the EZ directory for SEO?

Thanks

Michelle

Best case scenario is to post the already written content to your blog, rewrite once again and then post to EZA. That way you have two 100% fresh articles.

Worst case is you end up posting to EZA first and then post on your website later.

Hi Michelle, the normal (and advisable) thing to do would be to post it on your blog first, have it indexed there, and then submit it unchanged to EZA (just with the addition of a resource-box, with a link to your home page, not to the other copy of the same article, of course). All explained here by a group of very successful, professional article marketers. There's absolutely no need to re-write it again.

Ok, but I thought having an article on 2 different sites means you are docked by Google.

    Thanks

No you won't be docked by Google. You have syndicated your content when you post to Ezine. Alexa explained the way to do that.

You won't get penalized by Google because it's just like if someone republished your article from an article directory. Article directories are there for syndication so they won't punish you for that. Same thing when posting on your blog and EZA.

If writing blog post seems mundane

You can get an auto-blog plugin that posts articles from related sites.

This is what i always do:

First, post it in my blog, and then to EZ.

Those articles should be slightly different at least, since Google ignores exact same contents on the web.

It is usually the first published article rank higher.

Okay.. You can post it to your blog and also use it for SEO by submitting to article directories.. Nothing wrong in doing both and drive traffic..
