What Are Your Thoughts On PLR?

I use it to helped get my niche sites indexed faster. Personally, I think it helps.

I use unrestricted plr and plr. I never leave it alone. that is why I buy plr so I can use it as a base,idea center,and filler. PLR on it's own is o.k I don't trust anything to represent my business unless I actually create it so I just use it to help me do that. Besides you can do product creation.blog content,article ideas, etc it has huge potential if used properly

I definitely use PLR, however I almost exclusively use it as freebies.

I use it in several places. First, I have a couple of junk-blogs and I may post it there as-is. I often use spin-code to make it look unique. It is amazing how few articles are even good enough for my junk-blog.

PLR books always look promising, but I never seem to have the time/priority to modify them. Strangely enough, I often learn from them, but, like articles, there is a lot of real crap out there.

I only use it to help redirect to my original content.

I use PLR quite a bit but I do rewrite it before putting it on my blog and then I usually rewrite it again before submitting to article directories.

It is much easier than writing articles from scratch.

I put together a report called: 101 Ways of Using PLR... that should get the ball rolling!

I use it two ways.

One way is with heavy rewriting, strictly as a source of ideas. The other way, for a couple of my niche blogs, is to post it mostly unedited, but sandwiched between my own intro and summary.

PLR can be used for many things including auto blogging. Most of my PLR gets rewritten first, however.

I have used it in the past, but I alway end up re-writing so much, I stopped using it and just starting writing it all. I'm happier that way, and I believe that I am not putting out junk.

Yes....I use them to create reports for sale.....I also use them to build my ecourse. But I don't do it wholesale, I do change the add more meat to the existing product.

No because good PLR is worth too less for what it sells for and cheap PLR has been overused.

Wow, I am surprised to see that so many
marketers take advantage of PLR.

I always knew that PLR had a high-demand,
but I would have never guessed 90% +
marketers actively use it.

the data may be a little skewed. Not only that
but a larger sample size needed.

Definitely interesting insights non-the-less,
especially as I am in the PLR distribution
business.

I would never publish PLR without reading it and editing it, mostly because a great deal of PLR is TRASH, and you have to be able to sift through the good and the bad.

Still good PLR to me is content that I can spend 25 percent of my time producing 75 percent new and unique content.

Anything outside of those figures, is a waste of my time.

Hi, well I write, sell and buy plr. I do the same as most here. I buy it, then I tweak it to my product that I am promoting. Depending on who you buy it from, not everyone has good quality. I buy from Tiffany Dow and because I respect her work, I feel that I have to produce the same quality to the best of my ability. However, 25 pkg for $5.00 I'd run away from. plr is excellent for me to buy because the content I need is sometimes filler or it is on a topic that a lot of people could write about. I don't always have the time but I do read it, tweak it then use it. The plr I write is never just spun and will always pass copyscape.

Yes, I use PLR. I try to buy from good sources (those are few and far between though) and I edit it pretty heavily. But it saves me time even with the editing.

I use PLR, but only that which hasn't be plastered all over the Internet. I find that paying for the PLR I use is better than getting it for free. I always rewrite before I use it, and my primary methods for using PLR are for my sites and for article directories.

I don't know why but I much prefer having my own content and products created. If I am going to enter a market then I like to add some kind of value to the market, not just sell information that is already available out there.

I've seen some Good PLR's for sale and of course we've all seen less than steallar PLR's both free and for sale.

I see nothing wrong in using Good PLR's if and when you come across them. However, no doubt you need to actually read them and better yet do your own editing. Make the content more unique and better yet more timely by adding more up to date info.

In a way there's no need to "re-invent" the wheel as they say. Example, weight-loss. If you were to read several articles on weight-loss I suspect you'd find yourself re-reading the same concepts and universal truths over and over.

They can serve as an excellent way for a non-writer to get started with some content for their site or blog and offer a starting point for a writer/researcher to branch off from.

I do use PLR sometimes, and what really determines how you use it is its quality. Some PLR is absolutely worthless, and I'd never utilize it for anything. On the other hand, some are good enough to use as a basis for product creation and tweets/emails/blog posts. The key is to examine your PLR carefully before deciding what to do with it - don't make any assumptions until you've thoroughly gone through it.

I love using PLR to create videos from.

1. Take the major points of the content.

2. Create simple, but solid PPT slides (or Keynote for Mac users)

3. Record

By purchasing PLR in an area of expertise it's works as a great way to get basic content then 80% ad lib the videos based on knowledge and competence.

I don't use PLR articles most of the time, simply because I like to use unique content as much as possible.

Sure, you can rewrite PLR articles to make them unique, but I find it takes me almost as long to rewrite an article to a standard I'm happy with as it would to write one of my own! Once I've researched a topic, I can write a decent article in about 20 minutes - my rewrites tend to take at least 15 minutes...maybe I'm being too fussy .

We're all different & have different business models. Even though PLR isn't for me, it obviously works great for many others .

It's awesome, speeds up the product creation process and great to use for getting email subscribers by giving away free gifts.

I find it great as a starter for ideas and then the good stuff all you have to do is tweak, put your spin on it....or if it is simply great just take it as is!
All depends on the quality but i do find it very useful

I think that PLR is definitely worth it. You can spin the articles and get them the way you want them. I really like using them for various purposes either to get more traffic or something else.

Generally free plr is oversaturated on the web already. I have used sites occassionally but find my own writing to be of far greater basic quality anyway. Good occassionally if you want to use the quick blog methods i suppose

The biggest problem with PLR is that in order to accurately evaluate it, you have to read it, all of it, most people do not have the time to read through 100 articles of content in order to properly evaluate it so they have to take the word of the person selling the PLR which often sadly results in a disappointment.

Some providers have the idea that since you really have to rewrite the PLR anyway it really does not matter if it is any good or not, this is far from the actual truth.

I have seen some good PLR but it has been very rare to find that kind of good content, for every 20 articles that I have purchased, I may find one that is written well.

I have even seen some that claimed they guaranteed that the content they were selling was top notch, only to find it full of grammatical errors and poor use of English.

Incorrect verb tense, mixing past and present tense in the same sentence, the list could go on and on, in fact I have had that experience right here on the warrior forum more than once.

If you find someone that can actually produce good PLR content, stick with them they are almost impossible to find.

I'm a pretty big advocate of PLR too. I use it to springboard new articles. Writers hate writer's block and PLR really helps reduce that. I rewrite it before using it and sometimes use pieces from a few different PLR articles to make one unique article.

PLR can have it's use, just like everything else. I've used it for niches I do not know a great deal about, or for more ideas in my existing niches.

You do have to do a lot of searching, to find the wheat from the chaff with PLR.

PLR is great if you can re-write it so it becomes a work of your own with a twist.

PLR can be very powerful - however it took me a long time to figure out how to use it properly.

I know that sounds crazy but it really did!

I used to think you have a PLR product and then you just upload everything and you will become an ebook selling mogul!

Well it was not until I started using PLR properly that I saw some success.

In short you should make a PLR package your own.

Redesign the product and the website and ideally use it to enhance your own products.

I probably have largest collection of PLR articles. I re-write and upload it on my blog / sites.

Too many people chucking out products as "PLR" , Even the plr have restrictions. There should be a standard across the board licence for plr products stating the full rights and making it clear for every one what your rights are. " Is a PLR LICENCE actualy a legal term ?", is it recognised in the courts if someone was to sew you over the rights ?.

It should be stated in any licence that the copywrite owner from the original creator of a product wavers all copyright , Take a look at some products that are plr, are the minisites/websites and graphics within it plr or copyright ?, the same for videos etc, is the copy for sales page or any other page plr or can you just put your name on it?. Why pay $40.00 upwards or for that matter $1.00 if you have to change 50,60,80% , make the product look totaly unrecognisable from the one you purchased to make it your own, look at the work involved to truly make it your own , you might as well do the work your self.

I'm not saying that all plr products are a waste of time, they do have there purpose and the market. But what realy is plr, For me PLR SHOULD have only one licence which is DO WHAT YOU LIKE WITH IT.The product creators wether outsourcing or creating the content themselves when puting together the product should make all componats plr also. If they have outsourced for the minisite/website design or book cover etc, they should gain the copyright from the designer so as to pass on the plr, the same for video's etc. infact all componants of the product should be plr.

I just think the licencing for plr products has gone to far with some restrictions placed on them, for me TRUE PLR IS A PRODUCT YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU LIKE WITH.

I'll use plr from time to time but i'll always modify it to my liking

i dont value plr much. They wont bring you lots of money in my opinion because everyone has those stuff and i dont even think you can get lots of subscribers by offering it as a gift either.
