I feel Absolutely invisble on TWITTER

Hello folks,

I have around 350 followers on Twitter. I always try to contribute with interesting links, great articles, and some times I ask questions to my followers.

The situation is that 99% of the time nobody answer me. When I publish some links (at different hours) I can track, about 3 or 4 people actyually click on the links.

What the problem could be? What should I do to be more "noticeable" on Twitter?

It seems that interesting links, thought provoking questions are not working...

Looking forward to your response.

Kindest Regards,

Chewie.

    Hey Chewie,

Do you interact with your followers?

Try commenting on some of their tweets and strike up a conversation. When people see that you are there, not to just post links and make sales, but to actually get to know them, they are more likely to respond in kind.

    Chewie,

Your post doesn't mention you talking directly to your followers or the people you are following.

Its a social media, just like a party or a get together, mingle and talk to other people.

Ya don't just stand next to the punch bowl and talk to the room about these great ideas and sites

    thanks for your comments.

I haven't even tried to sell. I just post blog posts, helpful tools I found on the internet, Sometimes I comment on what I am working on, etc.

Actually, I haven't tried to interact very much with the people I am following. I will try that.

    it is SO frustrating!

I've been interacting with people who are following me and people I am following but I am still very invisble to them,...almost not answer at all!

Even 3 people unfollowed me,...but I am not flooding at all...I've been twitting about 5 or 6 times per day with useful comments.

What is your response ratio? Maybe I have too little followers? (352 at the moment)

    Regards,

    Chewie.

    Chewie,

    Screw those people!

    They aren't your true fans.

What you need to do is develop "Fans". You need to create a real following. Simply following some people in hopes they will follow you back will do little to nothing for you on Twitter.

People are leaving out the main thing you need to be successful at Twitter most of the time. You gotta be someone that others are eager to hear from.

Thank you Jason for your comment.

Could you please give some suggestions How to create "true" fans?

Because I know I have many good things to share with others. I am a very good speaker (in my language - Spanish) and people always tell me I know a lot about my stuff and that I always encourage them, but I am not making it online as I would like.

    I'd appreciate any suggestion.

    Regards,

    Chewie.

      Hi Chewie,

I know what you mean about being invisible on Twitter. To be noticed you need to start building relationships. How? By just being casual, commenting on other peoples tweets, on their blogs, on their sites, on their profile. You will definitely get some attention this way. Once you get a bit of attention start a conversation with them straight away. They will be happy to converse with you. Talk about anything you like, or anything relevant. Make your convos fun and intriguing so they catch the attention of other Twitteres. Making your convos fun isn't difficult. Just joke around, mess around etc. Make people feel confortable with you.

Once people get to know you better you can start telling them about your stuff. And they'd be eager to listen.

      Hope that helps.

      Thanks
      Adam

Don't worry about people not answering you back. Just do what you have to do like doing direct replies to people and build that relationship. It'll build up.

Interaction is Key. You want your followers to believe that you are taking to them personally every time you twitter. Besides just selling try interacting and chatting with them. They will begin to answer and you will see a big difference.
