You need a tax ID or social security number for them.

Not sure how they handle that if you are not a US citizen.

Yes, by the way, I AM in the Witness Protection Program. I could tell you who I am but then I would have to kill you.

They don't require any such documentation/information from non-US resident, non-US taxpayers who are not using a US address for the account.

Your Social Security number is your tax ID if you're not a business. If you live in the US and do not have a SSN, then...

No, it isn't required by clickbank. it is required BY THE US GOVERNMENT! If clickbank paid you more than a certain amount, and didn't file it with the IRS, they have to consider it PROFIT, and must pay taxes. To file it with the IRS for a US citizen, it needs a tax id number. That generally means either an SSN or an EIN. SO, at least for the US, they want that TID so they can send you the money.

BTW ANOTHER thing. If you have a corporation, or partnership, you should use your EIN. Failure to do so could make you liable for anything under that account.

    And they DO say:

Second note: If you are utilizing a U.S. address but are a beneficial resident of a foreign country, you will instead need to fax a completed IRS W-8ben form to us at 559-210-0502. Be sure to include a cover sheet that indicates your account nickname.
