Make money over 2-3 years?

Hello everyone. Within the next few months, I will probably be leaving for a 2-3 year long "vacation". During this time I expect I'll be going to a place that I will have either very limited to no access at all to the internet.

So, 2 years of no internet access is what I'm expecting. I'll still(hopefully) be able to either call or mail home to talk to family and friends.

Anyway, I was hoping to get some thoughts on what you guys thought would be a good method that I could set up before I leave and could earn some money while I'm gone.(Hoping for a minimum of at least 15K)

Now, I already have some sites making money off of Google Adsense, and this is what I'm currently planning on doing, since I think I might be able to at least reach my goal with this, since they just ship a check to your address monthly and maybe I could set up a bank account that my mother or brother or someone trustworthy could take the check and deposit it into my account.
The only problem with this that I see is that I could lose ranking with my keywords in Google and everything would be done for.

As I said, I'm open to ideas!

    To leave your business unattended mostly for 2+ years seems like a long shot to me. I have some adsense sites I setup circa 2002 that I know would make money for the next 2 years, but I have help. I think you would help too.

    Mmmmm, that's a tricky one...2 years with no Internet access at all???You will certainly lose control of everything you have built so far.Setting up a bank account for your brother or mother, seems like a really nice idea but i think it won't be enough...

    You see the bank account is not the only problem.If you give up on something,it gives you up...Right?

    I think what took you so much time, money and effort to be built, we ll be torn like a paper tower in a short period.Sorry but this is the truth

    I think you should find a partner (could be outsourced) who will maintain the sites while you are gone. It has to be someone you really trust though.. a lot can happen in 2 years!

      Hi Stewie,

      One option you do have is to hire somebody that will check in on your business once a month.

      It won’t cost a lot of money, but if they see you slipping in the ranks a little then they could put in a little work getting backlinks for your site.

      A part-time virtual assistant will probably be able to handle that sort of task, and it will probably save you money in the long run by keeping your spots search engine rankings.

      It would probably be a good idea to leave behind a stock pile of articles to be used for article marketing in case your websites need a quick boost.

    Yea, I hadn't really thought of having somebody to maintain my ranks in google. Everyone I know in real life would just wonder what a backlink was, and I don't really trust anyone on the internet that well.

    Also, I meant to say that if I probably will have limited access to the internet(30 minutes per week maybe) but will probably use that time e-mailing home and whatnot. Doesn't leave much time to SEO.

      Wow. A 2 year vacation. Must be nice but I personally would not risk loosing my business for it. Good luck with trying to solve the problem of keeping your business running successfully while your gone.
