My heart is pounding!

I just found a niche that looks pretty good, bought the domain and my heart is pounding with excitement! Reminds me of the feeling I had when I first met Lover.

Do any of you get this excited over a domain name and niche that you think your heart is going to explode?

  • Wow wish I could compare my business with my lovers, then I would stick to IM 24/7 but I lose concentration some now and then =p.

Anyways this is a good sign. You're probably on the right path.
  • Alright, could you please tell me the domain, niche, keyword list you plan on using and I will tell you if it is worth pursuing or not.
Just messin'. I know exactly what you mean.

  • Good try Bravo, ain't happen'! I do need to calm down though. Have a date tonight and I just don't know how I am going to concentrate.

May need to sneak off to the bathroom with a notebook so I can start writing!
  • Congratulations on your find.

I am having a "field day" picking up keywords in other languages....and I am still amazed some are still available.

    • Do you build the site in that language or plan on flipping?
  • I used to get that.. Until about my 15th domain... Now I find it kind of irritating having to go through the same multi-page payment process each time. I wish they'd make a one click domain buying feature for guys like me.

    • I hope to be that good as it sound....

but needs work to succeed !

      good luck
  • Grats on the find : ) I myself get excited when I find a good niche and can't wait to start finding out more about it! Best of luck and I hope your new endeavor is as profitable as it is exciting!
  • That is awesome. Go with your heart! You can achieve greatness if you BELIEVE you can! That is exciting to hear. I wish you all the best.
  • Congrats.

It's good you have this level of excitement, but I've been through
the process enough times where it's just "business as usual".

I could care less about the niche or the domain name. All I want to
know is, "will it make money?".

If it doesn't answer that basic question, I drop it.

Don't worry. Eventually, if you stick through this, you'll start saying
    the same things to yourself.

Unless you're one of the lucky few who "finds love at first sight", you
will be going through a few...*ahem*..."prospects" until you DO find
the one niche, website, or business you want to marry.

Very few people marry their high-school sweetheart and live happily
ever after because neither one has had time to explore other sexual
    and spiritual relationships...

    same thing with business.
  • Thanks for all the well wishes!

    Mr Casonova,

I am one of the lucky ones that has found love at first sight....been together 13 years now and let me tell you, when it happens it is awesome! Let's hope that feeling I had then is the same for this new domain.

This is probably my 30th domain, been messing around for 5 years and now I'm getting serious. I've bought a tool or two and taking a stab here and there at outsourcing. I am determined.

I was surprised by the feeling I had while I ordered this one. Time will tell if it makes me any money.

    • Congratulations, my friend on the 13 years.

      But...

You can NOT compare your "love at first sight" personal relationship
      with your business.

The two doesn't mix. There both "liquids", but one's oil and the other
is water. They are MEANT to be separated.

You're falsely assuming you will get this magical "feeling" of "love at
first sight"...kinda like a lottery jackpot winner who hopes to get hit
by lightning twice -- it's so rare, you shouldn't "count on it", because
if you DO you'll never win.

Everyone here will give you a "pat on the back" for a job well done
on -- nothing. And I don't say this to ruin your moment, but to give
you a small dose of the REALITY of doing business.

I especially can't give you a thumbs up if this is your 50th or so time
and you're still stuck on domain names.

      No.

You don't NEED a "ego boost". You need a kick between the legs &
      a wake up call.

Anybody get a domain. Anybody can do hosting. But do you have
the BALLS to do something with it other than it sitting there giving
      you warm fuzzies inside?

If not, than why are you are, my friend?

This is not an attack on you or anything. But you've effectively
accomplished...squat. It took you longer to do in the last 4 years
what anyone here can do in less than 20 minutes.

      So, why is that?

Is it because you THINK it's about waiting for "love at first sight"
      with the perfect domain?

If that's the case, it clearly shows you can't take emotion out of
business (which IS required)...and that you have a long road ahead
      of you.

This is more constructive advice...none of that "pat on the back"
      stuff.

Hopefully, you'll take it in and re-evaluate YOUR goals to accomplish
      something more for yourself.
  • Great news, I got the same feeling the other day massive traffic niche, low competition, lots of sub niches and "now" hundreds of books on the subject.

    Now time for work !

    Good luck with yours.
  • I don't ever compare my niches with my 'Lover' - I don't want them to peak to soon and then it's all over
    • [ 1 ] Thanks

    • How exciting that your heart is pounding .... I hope the date that night was as equally exciting.

      @Sheryl love the comment
  • I would advise being more even-handed about your excitement until you actually see it paying off.

If, for example, you believe your niche will be successful based on looking at Google's keyword tool, then I would hold my horses. Google's keyword tool can be WAY WAY WAY off sometimes. ... I say this from experience.

That said, you may have actually found a super niche. Good luck with it. (... but approach it with sobriety)
  • I wake up every single morning with my heart pounding and cannot wait to get to work. I love what I do and it shows. My goal in life is to change other people's lives for the better.

So, when I wake up and get to work it is about helping other people. So, it makes the day fly by and I love every single second of it.

    • Exactly.

My days fly be so fast, sometimes I look up and it is already night time.

This is hands down the most fun, the most excitement and the most money I have ever made doing anything in my life.

I love what I do, I have bought and put up somewhere in the neighborhood of 450 domains and I still feel that way every single time I get an idea for a new project.

@OP I hope you continue to feel this way every day. It is a great feeling and a wonderful way to live.
  • wow , you get lover from internet . it is very great story to sharing here .
  • Well I got that excited when I realized that there are domain names listed on eBay for millions (I do not know if they sell), and I realized that I have a domain name that is better than all those asking High Ticket prices. So I got excited and posted it on eBay. It has a lot of potential.

So what is my excitement? If I sell it for the price I am asking.... WOW !!!!
  • I know the feeling, trust me. I feel your excitement right up to here in Canada...
