Should I add my ebook to Clickbank?

Hi there,

I market an ebook on my site Healthy Mind – Fit Body: Fitness & Weight Loss Psychology for Optimal Nutrition and Proven Results, we are currently selling it through ejunkie.
The biggest way we get traffic is via our free weekly podcast.
We are barely selling any books after a year of trying, even though our podcast listenership keeps growing, and we are ranked #5 for "Fitness Podcast" in iTunes, and get a couple thousand downloads for each episode.

We sell a 19.95 ebook and a $37 package that includes several audios, guides, and a 20 min video (all digital delivery).

I'm considering adding the book to clickbank, but not sure how best to do this. Should I just put my sales page on Clickbank? How long does it take before affiliates notice a new product like this and start promoting it?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Kevin

Create an extra affiliate page for tools banners, info, trainings on how they could best promote it (you're the expert at that niche)

Just by adding it to ClickBank you won't get a ton more sales. You still need to send traffic and recruit affiliates.

You need to "add a product" to your CB account. You need the pitch page which is your sales page and the "download" page so ClickBank can check it out. Once they approve it you pay $50 and you're good to go. If you need to make any changes ClickBank will let you know.

In my experience, you will make 20-50x more money on Clickbank than on e-junkie. That is NOT an exaggeration.

I listed my first product on e-junkie and sales were abysmal. I scrapped it, and listed my second one on Clickbank...with ZERO promotion and zero work on my part, I was making $500/week in sales. Once I started actively trying to recruit affiliates, it shot up to $5,000/week and continues to go up.

Don't waste your time with e-junkie. Clickbank is where it's at.

Russ, if you don't mind sharing, how different were the products and how soon after adding the second product to Clickbank did you start to see results?

You should if you find some incentive for affiliates to start promoting your product.

This post came at a good time because I have a couple of follow up questions. I have my e-book in the final editing phases (from a Warrior offer!), and will go live soon. I'm finishing up the last touches on my pitch page, but the thank you page is new to me.

    - How does the thank you page work? Any tips on setup or how it works?

    - How do you create a thank you page, but not publish it so it's not actually a live page until someone actually makes a purchase? I was planning on using a Wordpress blog, and either doing the Squeezey Sales page as my pitch page, or having a page that I create and set up as the default page when you go to that domain name.

    - Can I have multiple files that are downloaded when someone purchases? Like the e-book, plus three bonus files? I also want to offer, either as a bonus or totally separate download, an MP3 version of the e-book for people who would rather listen in their car or on their iPod or whatever. Is that possible? Good idea?

Many affiliates prefer to promote a product if they are reasonably assured they will get paid. With Clickbank, they know that Clickbank will handle the payments (not the vendor) so it will reduce their doubts.
