Effective blogging idea: thanking you for your comment

INTERNET MARKETING

I just went to a blog and posted a comment on an entry. The blog is friendly and all, I knew that, but what struck me was that after I commented it led me to a "thanks for commenting" page! It thanked me for joining the community and pointed out that they appreciated people taking the step "to go from lurker to participant".

I really liked this tactic (I've never seen it before), and would love to see it on more blogs! Definitely warmed me up to the blog, and made me bookmark it. If it works on me, it will probably work on others too
