I need some help from my Warrior friends.
I'm about ready to get rid of 1shopping cart and go with WP eStore plugin to be my shopping cart, but I'm curious about something.

I'm sure I'm just missing it, but so far I cannot answer my question....

Why would I have to use eStore plugin when it goes through PayPal?
Why wouldn't I just use PayPal without the plugin?

I'm sure the answer is obvious, but I just haven't been able to see it.

Please help!

Thanks,
Andrew.

I use the WP estore plug in from Tips and Trick HQ. I use it primarily because I want the added features I get from a "shopping cart" vs PayPal button. It all depends on what you want to do.

If you are just selling one item, then a PayPal button will certainly work. But if you want to sell multiple items or items with features, it's hard to get a button to do all that. Plus I can keep the customer on my site as they are just adding items to a basket.

Hi, PayPal buttons can be limiting so it really depends on what you are looking to do as JRGautreaux mentioned. If you are selling digital products PayPal will not give you the option to use encrypted download links to protect the location of your products. Where with the eStore there are many security features that protect your digital content.

      Hi!

I also read the Tips and Tricks HQ and I'm pretty convinced to use it in my planned PLR site.

      Just a few questions.

      1. Does WP e-store have a reporting system wherein you'll be notified that only x number amount of downloads is left (i.e. 48 of 75 left).

      2. I've come to know about DLGuard from Tiffany Dow. It's just I don't have the money to invest on it. Can I use WP e-store for the meantime? I mean I'll be selling only articles, ebooks and other digital products.

      3. Are there any other plugin that's better than WP e-store? I find it simple and it's cool to see that a shopping cart is widgetized.

      Thanks!
