What are the most expensive items on Amazon

Hi Gang

By chance, I saw some Tag Heurer watches on Amazon UK going for £5000 and just wondered if there are items even more expensive on there in any category.

Cheers
Phil

The category with the greatest number of high priced items that I could find was jewelry. Of course, Amazon seems to sell everything so I might have missed something.

just out of interest, why do you want to sell high cost items?

i assume you are a UK affiliate, correct me if i'm wrong. just so you know amazon UK caps the commission rates at £7 regardless of how much commission you actually earn.

it certainly is. this came into effect a few years back. i've only recently signed up myself but i can see two clear positives for joining already:

        - once you get people to amazon there is a high probability that they will buy something
        - most amazon affiliates seem to be american - i have yet to come across many UK affiliates (though i'm sure they're out there - the market is thin compared to the US)

It's a shame the cookie is only 24 hours, imagine if it stayed there for a month!!

I read that on another thread and the person suggested not doing amazon.uk but switching to amazon.com so it must be possible for you to get an amazon account that is U.S. based.

I don't know that for a fact, just saying what I read in another thread.

Oh and as for your original question, you might want to see if amazon sniper is still available here on the wf as you can put in a price point in different categories to get some ideas. I used it to come up with some good sellers that were over $1000 but you can put in an amount higher to see what results you get. It's a pretty cool little tool to get some ideas for keyword research.

I still find it amazing that Amazon seems to be a hotbed of activity for jewelry shopping, as I'd think that jewelry would be highly personal items that shoppers would want to examine in person. Then again, I'm not shopping for diamond rings
From my own experience... as in my buying jewelry, it's the exact opposite.

I know that if I buy jewelry for the girl... it's a big win for me.

Problem is, the last thing in the world I feel like doing is shopping for jewelry.

Between Amazon and 1-800-flowers, I'm covered for just about everything. Throw in the occasional victoria's secret gift card to spice it up.

I have a feeling most men are the same way. We need all the help we can get.

Granted, I'm just like you in the sense that I shop for almost everything that I want online, but there are still many people out there who wouldn't dream of making such a big purchase online. I have bought everything from computers to cameras to expensive gourmet food online, but I have run into many people who are still pretty mistrustful of internet shopping - and I'm not talking about old geezers either. I've run into plenty of Gen-Y people who are still a little wary of purchasing items online.

Apparently Amazon is still holding a grudge over that tea tax. There is another thread about this on the front page that might be worth a read.

I read once about a guy who makes a good living selling tractors through Amazon (full-size tractors, not the garden variety).

I think the jewelery category has the most expensive items.

I'm wondering! How can you pay 2 millions online? Paypal or credit card?
