downloadable pdf link in body of email

Hey Guys,

How do you send an email with a link that when they click it, it downloads a pdf that you provide that isn't in the attachments section but the body? Is there a service for this or is it easy to do?

Thanks in advance

Just want to be clear about your request: you're asking how to create a download link to a PDF file within an email, right? Do you have a domain server?

Yes I do. I just want people to click the link and it download the link to their computer instead of click on link, go to site, download pdf.

But if they go to site you can put some links to some other products

Correct, but when you JUST want them to download a PDF, what do you do?

May I ask why you would not want them to go to your site with ads for other products to get their download?

Yes, because I own a real estate company, I already know these people, they have already bought from me, this is a simple pdf that I want to get to them.

No one has really answered MY question. Is it impossible to do?

http://www.yourwebsite.com/documentname.pdf (or, if you want to store it in a sub-folder, http://www.yourwebsite.com/subfolder...cumentname.pdf)

Just be sure you upload it to the correct place on your hosting account for this to work.

I just created a subdomain folder called downloads and placed all my freebie pdfs in that location. Sounds more like you are having server issues perhaps with the actual folder permissions.

No it is not impossible to do. Just put a link to the pdf file in your email like:

    Here is your book http://www.yourwebsite.com/book.pdf

That will open the pdf automatically . They will have to click the little icon that looks like a disk to save it.

Your other option would be to put the pdf in a zip file. Then in your email you could say:

    Here is your book http://www.yourwebsite.com/book.zip

That will prompt them to open it and read it or save it to their hard drive

    Hope that helps
