Do you think?

It is actually a rhetorical tongue-in-cheek question.

You might know where I am going with this, but it actually is a serious question too.

In the Bible, it said that the "blind will lead the blind into the ditch."

Do you think for yourself?

Or do you blindly follow any idiot who seems to have a good story?

I know that most people reading this thread do not blindly follow others. and that is a good thing.

If there is one thing we have learned online, it is a Buyer Beware marketplace.

There are a lot of scammers out there, and people who profess knowledge they do not own.

While it can be fun to watch the clueless, it can also be very annoying to watch the clueless on the soapbox and people believing their rubbish.

Do you even have the capacity to think for yourself?

I sure do hope to. Otherwise, you are going to be cut bait in chummed waters, and the sharks will be on the hunt for you.

Do you smell that? There chum is thick in the water...

I'm sorry Bill, I skimmed your thread because your brilliance has mesmerized me and now I will never take another step without first thinking, "what would Bill Platt do?"

    Hi Bill,

You know, it really isn't so much "do you think for yourself", at least for me, as it is being new you really don't know what you don't know.

I have already been very successful in one business and there was a learning curve there, too but once I had sorted through the BS I took to it like a duck to water. I hope to do the same here as well.

Sorting through the snakeoil salesmen takes time for some people and figuring out who is really who and who walks the talk sometimes takes longer than we would like.

Yes, by the way, I AM in the Witness Protection Program. I could tell you who I am but then I would have to kill you.

You are right. You don't know what you don't know, until you do know what you do know.

If you successfully closed the learning curve before, certainly you will again.

There are just so many shiny button and magic bullet buyers out there that do not think past the hype.

Honestly, who really believes that if they buy that $7 report, they are gonna be able to make $20 million in 24 hours, while doing no work, sitting in their pajamas, and playing Xbox Live for most of the day?

They are the cut bait sitting there waiting for sharks to consume them.

Oh, don't I know what you mean!

The "buy this and you will be a millionaire tomorrow" crowd was alive and well in my other business, too. Barnum was right.

Speaking for myself, I am in this for the long haul. I expect there to be hard work on the front end (and from time to time later on) to reap rewards later. One of my favorite quotes is, "If you are willing to do today, what others won't, you will be able to do later what others can't"

I know all about the shiny new things and all the $7.00 WSOs. I don't even let myself go to that section of the Forum anymore. LOL

I just want to find a method that I LIKE, that works and will generate long term income. I think I have just about figured out what I am going to be doing. Now time will tell if it really works.

Unless you really know someone doing it (the method you choose) that is successful where you can see the results, you have to have some faith.

        This is a good topic.

Just for the record, I have bought some really useful stuff in that section of the forum.

I don't browse over there, but occasionally see recommendations that I look into and research.

I have honestly found some stuff that I consider to be essential to my future success.

Don't get me wrong, I have actually been happy with everything I have bought there. I just know if I go in there something else will look good and it is just too distracting.

When you are new, well, you know how it is. lol

My observations are the people who were born yesterday, i.e. naive and gullible, will blindly follow words rather than actions.

My preference is to take people on their word, but since that has proven rather costly, I now take people based on their actions.

So yes, I do think !
