I came across free PLR articles while searching Google for PLR to buy. Can I use free PLR for my websites and article marketing? Of course I will spin or rewrite them first before using. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using free PLR?

Most "free" PLR requires you to sign up for some sort of mailing list.

There really isn't any disadvantages of using the free PLR if you are just going to rewrite it and then submit it.

However, if you were going to use to draw in customers, free isn't always the best way to go

You must rewrite them if you want to show up on the search engine. PLR articles are great for giving you an idea of what to write. Your job is to express the pointers in the plr articles in a different way.

Exactly. I use plr to get ideas when I have writer's block.

Thanks for your insights. I did sign up for a few mailing lists before I got the free PLR they offered. I am just wondering that because these are free, they might be used by hundreds of other people. I am planning to rewrite these articles completely but use the same facts/ideas.

It does not take much to rewrite an article and that is what you should be doing with these as others have said.

There was a great thread about creating a blogger empire using free PLR on here a little while back.

I use PLR articles all the time to make money with article marketing. But, yes, I do rewrite them first but I think they are a great tool.

I have ever done a test in the past, with using free PLR articles generate traffics.

Test A - Set of 50 PLR articles, spin to 40% uniqueness with TBS, submit them with UAW and link back to my money site with tracking link A.

Test B - Same set of 50 articles too, completely rewrite them and spin them to 40% uniqueness too, submit with the same service and link back to my same money site with tracking link B.

At the end, I noticed that link B has received far more clicks than the link A.

The conclusion is, complete rewrite your free PLR articles will give you a better result. If you just spin without rewriting, most likely Google will still see it as duplicate content and not really indexing most of your articles that have submitted, cuz this type of PLR articles is free and rest assured that tons of people have already using it for article marketing

    The advantage: it's free anyway!
The disadvantage: unless you completely rewrite them, otherwise you will not get good indexing rate from Google.

You can certainly put them up on your site without doing anything to them at all.

The only way to know if they are going to rank well for your chosen keywords is to try it out and see.

You could upload them without rewriting.

Spin them by just replacing words.

Or rewrite them sentence by sentence and then replace the words with the synonym replacer function.

Then these will be your results and you can make a decision on what to do from those.

Otherwise all you get are other people's opinions which may or may not be relevant to your particular situation.

One disadvantage to free PLR is that they are often of poor quality, but you can rewrite them and turn them into good quality articles. However, if the quality is really bad it could be easier just to write your own than try to make sense of poor quality articles.

There are many advantages of using PLR. The main one being you do not have to spend a lot of time doing research and they are super cheap or free. Another advantage is they are usually already structured in a good way for marketing.

Here is a good plan in the warrior forum for how to use PLR: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ne-income.html
