Need some help

I have a domain hosted at hostgator. I probably should ask this question there but I like it here.

So my question is I have a hostgator baby hosting acct. Can I install wordpress in more than one directory for my domain. Lets say my domain is myname.com.

Can I create a subdomain like fishingforbass.myname.com and create a niche blog with wordpress or do I need a whole new domain for it? And yes I understand that having its own domain is better, but right now I just want to try this out.

yeah, you can have as many subdomains as you want, and install wordpress on all of them.

you'll probably rank better with individual domains, but installing wordpress on the subs is no sweat. just click on the fantastico button in cpanel and install from there.

yourdomain.com/blog1
yourdomain.com/blog2
yourdomain.com/blog3

You can have as many as you need, just depends on how many databases you are allowed on your account (if I remember correctly HG is unlimited).

why would you build another house when the one you're living in has everything you need. No need to sub-domain - do as Kristy has stated and you'll be just fine.

He's trying to install different wordpress themes. This is muuuuuch easier to do with subdomains.

Oh ok then he needs to get another domain name because it wouldn't look right if it looked like this - fishing.computerrepair.com etc. - it needs to be relevant as such - software.computerrepair.com etc. -

Or like was mentioned earlier. If my domain was my name. Lets say gvannorman.com

I could have gvannorman.com/fishing or something similar. I would like to thank you guys for your input. All the knowledge that I get here is going to make me rich
