How good are my ClickBank stats?

Hi warriors,

I'm doing affiliate marketing with articles, and direct link to the offer. Following statistics are from the last 14 days.

How good are conversions in relation to the number of hops?

Thanks in advance.

Fernando.

    Hi Fernando,

I would hazard a guess that this is not the answer you are looking for, and I'm sure many others will provide you with a more "conventional and figure-based answer", but - There are too many variables to take into consideration.

Conversions in relation to hops will vary for many reasons including:-

niche, product, quality of your articles, quality of the vendors sales page, the type of keyword your article is based around (buying or informational)...and there are literally 100's more!

I could turn around and say that your conversions look great in comparison to your hops, but I have very little, other information to go by.

You see, I find that many people look for actual "figures" when it comes to IM, but then tend to forget about the human element. Us human beings tend to buy out of need, want, desire, and not because we are 100th in the queue. How many times have I read 1:100 or 2:100 is a great conversion rate, but this IMHO is simply not true. I'm sure there are many marketers who will tell you that the have a 1:10 conversion rate, or a 1:5 conversion rate, and this once again will be down to numerous variables.

The one thing I will say is, that article marketing has changed somewhat since I first started approximately 3 years ago. I still have 800-odd articles in one niche that are direct linking to the vendor's salespage (via redirected domain), and these articles still produce 100s of dollars in sales month in, month out.

However, most seasoned article marketers will agree that pre-selling your reader is likely to get you a far better conversion rate...in the long run. This may include setting up an autoresponder service, and sending both regular informational and "sales-type" emails, collecting email addresses to "grow the size of your list", perhaps writing your own short report to entice people to your list or indeed to presell the product you are promoting as an affiliate. Initially, adding the articles to your own site, before submitting to various other article directories, thus creating more syndicated content and a greater chance of your article being read. In addition to this, more backlinks will be created to your own site, hence increasing the probability that your site will be ranked higher in the SERPs.

Sorry, maybe not what you were looking to read, but a darn sight more useful than someone telling you that x-amount of hops per sale is what you should be aiming for!

    Cheers
