Question For Veterans Running Multiple Sites/Niches. When To Diversify?

When do I start promoting other niches?

I have a website in the weight loss niche and I promote fat loss 4 idiots from clickbank. I am
getting about 150 uniques per day and making about 2-3 sales per day.

I was thinking about moving into other niches but ANY second I spend doing anything for another product I could just as well be promoting my weight loss website.

When do you know that you have done enough work in one niche and to move on? I mean if my goal is to make 10k per month do i just keep promoting that weight loss till i hit that THEN move on?

Do you get my question though? Like when is the breaking point where it makes more sense to move into another niche versus keeping promoting one you are making some money in?

I think 2-3 sales per day is plenty in order to move onto another niche.

But of course don't let that first site die - continue a weekly marketing plan
and make sure you are adding content to the site to get long-term search
    engine love.

There's no need to do this if you're getting good search engine traffic. I have a number of sites in low to mid level competition niches that haven't been updated for over a year and the traffic and earnings have stayed consistent.

        Different strokes for different folks.

More content = more indexed pages = more traffic = more sales.

I develop other niches when I get bored with a niche, and/ or when I can hive off new niches from a particular niche and target a new set of buyers.

Make a list of other weight-loss related niches you could cover, and products you could promote, related to your current niche. (Read the forums in your niche, there are several good ones.)

Check out what's selling on eBay and Amazon that's related to weight loss -- does this give you any ideas?

I'd weight until I got a YES! feeling about a potential niche... It's all up to you, and the way you like to work. :-)

        Cheers

Best way is to sub-niche your Fatloss niche into smaller but more focused sites.

Use your knowledge you've acquired from this niche and sprout other branches of your tree.

Just visit the clickbank marketplace and view the other products available in this niche. Make a list of possible sub-niches you discover. After a while you'll know which one to target next.

Obviously you now link to this new site from the old (not excessively) :-)

Thank you I really like the ideas about breaking the weight loss into smaller sub niches. This makes a lot of sense because I already know so much about it and i know what keywords are good and have immersed myself into it. Thanks!
