How often can you market with RSS Feeds?

I have read so many books on marketing with RSS Feeds. They use to submit their site RSS Feeds to various RSS directories however it wasn't clear whether to submit the RSS Feeds daily or only once per certain time.

I need your help to clarify whether I should send the RSS Feeds to RSS Directories daily or on regular interval.

Please help.

    An RSS feed is a Syndication of your content and updates whenever you add anything new like a wordpress post. As such, there is no need to submit it more than once.

    You should however "Ping" your feeds every time you update content on your site. Wordpress does this automatically but it wouldn't hurt to find the URL of your individual feed at each RSS site and "Ping" that periodically.
