Tired of the negativity? Let's see examples of things done the right way please.

I don't know about you, but I'm a bit tired of seeing completely negative posts focusing on(in people's opinion) what is wrong with Internet marketing. A lot of these come down to personal preference.

Does anyone have any examples of Internet Marketing done correctly?

Perhaps you bought a product and you thought that some part of the process was done exceedingly well. Something that you thought "I must do that", instead of "that sucks, I'd never do that to my customers".

I'll start. I recently purchased some 1 on 1 coaching bought via a WSO here. (Shock horror - there are some great WSO's available here )

The information was pretty much the same as I could have got in an ebook, but the method of delivery really got me to take action.
I do take action on ebooks, video courses I bought, but I found completing homework assignments and getting the next piece only when I had completed the assignment had me fired up to get things done.

Getting personalised assessment of the homework back also felt like I wasn't just a faceless customer to this person.

I'll definitely think of providing a product in this format in the future.

Good Luck With That One. But thanks for the positive feedback. A lot of the negative that hear is deserved. It is just that when things are done right, people take it for granted and don't bother giving the compliments. You took the time to speak of a positive experience and that is a positive thing. Perhaps more of us will take the time and write about the good things that we experience online.

      That's what I'm hoping.

I figured I could sit back and despair at the negativity or I could at least try and do my bit to bring some positivity.

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, but at least I tried

One very recent example I can point to is someone currently selling a WSO, for a very reasonable $7, and sending all of the profits to the Queensland (Australia) flood relief fund. Actually warms my heart to see not only her, but the people on WF buying/donating their money to this WSO. At last count I think it's over $800 donated by her and the WF members (one member bought 58 copies!)

There is a huge amount of negativity in IM, seems like more and more each day, and unfortunately a lot of it is well deserved. Lets face it, it's the perfect primordial soup to breed conmen who can fleece unsuspecting newbies and the cr@p I see on a daily basis truley disgusts me. Granted, there are some amazing people here who freely (or cheaply) provide invaluable advice, but you can't deny the dark underbelly lurking, and growing in this industry.

So it's just awesome to see people in IM pull together in times of need like this and prove that we are actually human!

EDIT: OK, I've already had a couple of PM's in a few minutes asking what the WSO is that I was referring to in my post above so here it is below. I know it's against the rules to promote a WSO in other sub forums but I'm hoping that as this is a 100% not-for-profit WSO, in no way related to me, and is benefiting the Queensland flood relief, the admins will make an exception. If not, mods please PM me and I'll remove the link:

I'll take a look at that - Was there anything specifically that stood out about it, or is it just everything about it.

Good thread. I also purchased an awesome WSO just last week from a highly reputable Warrior. It was about running your own service business and let's just say with all the information and help I got, I am doing really, really well.

You really do have to learn to read between the lines. There are a lot of mystery, rehashed products out there and a lot of hurting wallets. It's all part of the learning curve unfortunately

I've not bought a bad WSO in the past few months.
I avoid anything that sounds too good to be true and on the whole I've learnt something from everything I've bought.

I'm glad that you took action on a good quality WSO and are reaping hte benefits.

Thanks! Taking action has been my biggest goal this year and I've been eally good about staying on track.

Good for you for not purchasing any bad WSO's this year. It took me a year of purchasing crappy ones to get it right haha

I think "buying" is what leads to many of the complaints here. Working online is not about what you buy that was "good info" or "bad info" - it's about what YOU build yourself.

People are buying WSO's and products and I wonder if they do more than read quickly through them. "Learning something" is good - but at some point you need to turn the learning into earning.

Please do not 'release balloons' for celebrations. The balloons and trailing ribbons entangle birds and kill wildlife and livestock that think the balloons are food.

  • Nice post. It's definitely all about taking action and staying focused on one thing. Yes I do jump around a little and try things, but every day I first do the basic steps I am committed to doing, then once I've done that I can try other things
