Setting up blogs question

I know setting up blogs is pretty easy, though I have only done 1 so far. I tried finding this out on my own, but am having trouble finding out on my own.

Do you need a separate email address for every single blog? I thought to set up some kind of landing page for a number of different affiliate products and test each one, narrowing it down later. I used a common blog site to do it. I don't want to have to manage a bunch of email addresses as well as the blogs they are associated with. Isn't there a way to set up blog1, blog2, blog3, blog4, blog5, etc, always using blogMainATmyemailDOTcom email address?

Anyone else try this? Any tips related to affiliate marketing using blogs would be welcome. I plan to purchase domains and put up landing pages for each successful one. Thank you.

    Hi Duane,
I would use the same email address myself.. Unless you are using a email client that can sort emails into folders and such. I would not worry too much about setting up different emails for each.

When you install just use your main email that you want to use for admin..

I appreciate the quick answer, but I am not sure I understand. I was saying that I can find no way to set up a blog without a new email address. I use Yahoo and Google email and I was going to use 1 email address (the same one) for all of my blogs. But then, I found out I needed a fresh one for each. I don't know what the limit for Yahoo is for email addresses is, but I think Google (Gmail) limits you to 10. I don't want to get to the point where I get cut off by Yahoo or something. Maybe I can set up email addresses from my web host, but I haven't done that yet.

    Hi Duane,
Ok forgive me I thought you was talking wordpress here.. Any reason why you are not setting up blogs with wordpress ??

Also you do know you can setup a "Catch-All" email on your server (if using cpanel) and create any email you want to use on the fly...

    Duane ...

With wordpress.org, wordpress.com, blogger/blogspot, squidoo, hubpages, etc you can setup many many different blogs all with the same email address ...

i'm not sure which one you are using? i would suggest though that the ones above are known to be good for search engine rankings etc ...

        Hi Duane,

Are you plan to set up the blog in the same domain or different domain for different niche ? If you have different domain eg abc.com, xyz.com, etc, then just setup one email for each domain. eg admin@abc.com, admin@xyz.com.

Then redirect EACH email to your primary email address. All emails (regardless whether it is sent to any email will be redirected to your primary email. So, you just need to check only one email. The Redirect function is different from "Catch-All" function as it will only redirect the email that you specified.

Yes, Affiliate Marketing is a PERFECT MATCH with Blog.

In this case, I find WOrdpress is the best platform simply because it is easy to setup and have tons of useful pliugins available. and Yes, it is Search Engine friendly too.

Create a long-tail keyword optimized blog with around 20-30 articles. You may monetized the blog with multiple affiliate programs. Some the most popular one are Adsense, Clickbank, Text Links Ads, etc.

If you have spare time, create a squeeze page will definitely help in collecting list..

So far, I have started with blogspot which re-directs to blogger. Right on the first page of blogger, you are supposed to sign in with your gmail address. When you sign in, you end up at the blog you created it and can edit it, etc. I had thought that I could use one account/signin name (which is my email address) and start and work on many blogs, but it doesn't seem like I can. I thought I could have blog1, blog2, blog3, etc, all under one account and then select one to work on. But it doesn't seem to be that way.

I am so new to blogs. I think I answered my own question. I think there is an option to set up another blog - I don't know if they updated the interface or what, but it seems like there is an option to create another blog under the same account. But since I just discovered that, I haven't verified that will create an altogether independent blog or not. I thought I had problems last time. I do appreciate all the thoughtful help. though. Thanks again.

    Sorry Duane - I can't help with your query but . . .

Also you do know you can setup a "Catch-All" email on your server (if using cpanel) and create any email you want to use on the fly...
The only problem with a "catchall" email is that it will "catchall" spam - better just to have only the email addresses you need to avoid being bombarded by spammers who just type in anystupidthing@yoursite.com . Using only what you have to means the other rubbish emails just bounce.

One or two hosts have now disabled the catchall accounts because of this.

I use godaddy's blog plug in feature. there is a charge but it sets up in five mins and has audio and video capabilities. you don't have to be an it guru to put it together. I just started one a week ago and it's really populating fast through all of the search engines. I'm totally amazed at how fast it is indexing, but i think it is because it is a subdomain name. But then agAIN, WHAT DO I KNOW?
