Best day of week to email for highest response?

Curious to know what some of the big mailers here think. Also, the worst day to send?

      I've heard Tuesday is the best, Friday is the worst, but that's mostly for the IM niche as far as I know. I've never bothered to test because my goal is just to get something out sometime, I'm not making enough to worry about small things like this at the moment.

      If you're like me then you may be getting caught up in little things that won't really make a difference in your business. My focus has become more on doing anything than trying to do something "the right way."

        For me Tues or Wed have always been good. Thursday a little lower response, but still solid.

    I ask because I've been doing Fridays. I have a physical product. Sales have been good, but I've been considering changing when my mails go out.

      Here's an answer.

      We don't know your niche, no one does but you. Variables are impossible to gauge.

      Test everyday, test every hour. Where are your target audience? What time is it when you mail? And so on and on....

      Test, test and test until you find the answer.

      There is no rule.

        My lists are emailed everyday. The highest sales are generally on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Lowest is on Friday.
