Free Advanced Live Chat Support Software-Big Brother is Watching You!

I've been paying $40/month for a live chat support software. Just as I was looking around for other options I stumbled upon Livezilla.net !

It has some great features given it's free.

You can see live who is on your site, their geographical location, which page they are browsing and what's more, as visitors move from one page to another, you see it all happening live! What I also found to be really cool is you can choose to initiate chat with your visitors!

I installed it on my site yesterday and was pretty impressed. Still need to do a few tweaks. I am certainly going to use this.

    Does it require much resourage if you have a heavily trafficed site?

      I don't think it matters.It's more about whether you are able to cope with replying to several chats at a time.I guess having more than one admin online would do the trick.

        What happens if you are the only admin, and three people start online chats with you? Do you end up with multiple chat windows open in your browser? or can you only chat with one person at a time?

          You can chat with all simultaneously!You can even initiate chat with as many visitors as you want at a time. You simply get different chat window for each person.

      Yes, that's the whole point Whenever you are logged in as admin, they see the icon which reads "ONLINE". They can click and start chatting. If you are offline, they can still click on it and leave you a message which you'll receive whenever you log in! Pretty cool stuff.

      Thanks for pointing this out.I still got to fix a few things with the Livezilla on my site.I realise button isn't showing on all pages too.Haven't had time to look into that yet.

      Live chat software is very useful and can easily be run by businesses as small as one-person shops. It's still amazing how many e-commerce sites don't utilize it (and make it difficult to find a way to even ask questions about their products).

    I believe that it totally depends on the requirement. One cannot say that a free features will work for everyone. For instance, if your website do not have much visitors, you can have the liberty of testing cheap or free softwares as it will not affect you much and cost-benefit analysis will give a positive equation. On the other hand if there are hundred and thousands of visitors every month, you cannot afford to make them leave your website without doing a favorable action. In such case you will be more interested in converting the traffic in to leads than caring much about free features or spending a bit more on quality softwares and services which are more capable of handling more traffic by deploying more chat representative or operators over it. In my point of view if you are going to buy a live chat software, its better to analyze your requirements and ask the providers that how they can meet your demand and expectations.
