Growing my list quickly!

Hi all,

I want to grown my list quickly. Does anyone have any suggestion?

What about buying an email list? Do you know anything about that?

My ideal clients are solo entrepreneurs and small business owners.

As I am starting up I appreciate all ideas!

Thank you very much!

Don't even think about buying a list! People will join your list because they want to hear from YOU. If you buy a list, you are buying a list of people that did not join because of you or your products. You are a stranger to them and that will end in results that are not pretty!

You should focus on a specific niche and then make an attractive freebie offer. There are a number of threads here on the WF that discuss this very thing.

Once you have a small list built, you can do list swaps to grow your list fast, BUT first be sure and take the time to review what your list swap partners are offering and ask yourself if this is something that would bring value to my members.

This is interesting. What would a normal agreement like this look like?

I don't blame you for thinking that the money is in the list, after all, that's what you've been told by pretty much anyone on this site.

The money however isn't in the list!! it's in the relationship with the people that are on your list.

In order to build relationships with people in your market you have to provide this really rare thing called value.

Once you've helped a bunch of people out (using this whole crazy providing value concept) you would have gained what we call the know, like and trust factor.

There's no point in buying a list, nor is there any point in trying to grow a list fast. Make sure your quality of traffic (i.e the people you send to your offer are actually looking for what it is that you're offering) is good.

The whole point in list building is to find a problem that people have and come up with an answer to it. This in turn develops RELATIONSHIPS with people which in turn causes them to give you some money (provided you are super cool).

QUALITY of traffic = quality of subscriber. Quality of subscriber is directly proportional to the amount of money that you make off them.

        Buying a list? Really?

I think that the money is in the processes you have with your list. This includes the relationship you build with them, but it also includes a number of other factors as well.

Buying lists can be an effective way to put people on your list if your buying from the right places, but the way most people do it is a total waste of time and money.

Obviously you need to be bringing new leads into your system all the time, but also consider if you are maximizing the list you have. Are you getting the most out of each lead, what type of leakage do you have in your process, where could you improve on it to get people to stay longer, buy more often, and buy higher priced items. Most business could easily double without getting a single new buyer in if they focus on these things.

Know your market and give them what they want... content, tips, techniques, free stuff, etc. This is the sure-fire way. If you don't get enough sign-ups, try something else.

Try free stuff. Try low cost stuff. Try something of more value that you an put buyers directly on your list. And don't forget that Social media outlets can also act as double lists because you are connecting with people on a different level.
