Great website but no income-Flip or Keep? Advice please

Hi warriors

I have a old streaming website which i used to use for CPAlead for income that sits on the first page of Google (And has been since Feb 2010 due to heavy press release and major backlinking)

But CPA Lead changed there stance i am no longer making much income apart from banner adverts paid from the site and peerfly banners.

So its got me thinking since the site has a vast amout of SEO work done and is in many directory's (from last check today i have 30k of backlinks pointing to site) should i flip the site to make profit on flippa or keep hold of the site and add more value.

What would you reccomend?

Thanks again
andrew

If I only heard the description that you just gave, I would not be interested in the site. It sounds like you have done a lot of work with it. If you can't make money from it after all that work, then I wouldn't want to buy it from you.

But, it still sounds like you have a powerful tool in that website. Since it's no good for CPA, why don't you turn it towards building a list? 30,000 backlinks should be equaling a lot of traffic, I bet you could build a killer list with a simple mail form on the sidebar, just offer some free product to the visitors.

Or you could look for another CPA network that would work with you. I just wouldn't suggest getting rid of a site that you have worked so hard on. Just my advice.

Why don't you sign up with another CPA network. Surly there is one that will work for you. Not sure why CPALead pulled the plug on you but if it is set up to send traffic to a CPA offer, then I am sure there are multiple networks out there that would love to have yo as an affiliate.

i still have my cpalead account just the fact that when the issue of movie sites came up i decided to not use the current website and work on other projects

What other cpanetworks would you reccomend.

Ultimately it depends what the site is about and whether you can monetize it with amazon/clickbank/adsense or other affiliate programs.

People buying sites usually want to see an income but if you've got high rankings for a competitive term it should still have value.
    Good luck with it

Never rely on one network, just as you have never relied on one source of traffic.

Give it six months to try to turn it to profit, then sell to someone who might be able to take it where you could not.

But don't expect a big payday on the flip, unless you can show the buyer its real earning potential.

I would keep it myself, and work on monetizing it with a different CPA network to increase my revenue. I'd also tweak it if necessary to increase conversions.

I doubt that a site like yours will go for a lot on Flippa, as buyers there tend to place a lot of emphasis on income generated by the website. If you have your heart set on flipping it, I'd suggest revamping your site, changing monetization methods and increasing revenue over at least 3 months before trying to flip it.
