Here's something that may help you TODAY!

I'm as guilty of this as anyone, but I do try to improve.

Here's the thing. We all have projects we are working on. Most of these projects are multi-faceted and require implementing a number of things to get them in motion.

Herein lies the potential stumbling block. There is usually one part of the project that represents the "burr up the butt, don't want to do it" phase.

It's easy to pick off the little things that are fun to do and handle those first. Maybe you like creating graphics. Maybe you like copywriting. Maybe you enjoy doing some mind-mapping. So you decide to take a couple hours and do the fun stuff.

But especially if you're fairly new to the business YOU MUST make a commitment to do the grunt work. Identify the biggest stumbling block and tackle it TODAY.

The problem is that a lot of beginners do all the fun stuff and keep putting off putting the big boulder into motion: the boulder that has to roll to succeed in the project.

You need to make sure you are a "boulder roller" and not just a pebble re-arranger. Playing with the pebbles may be fun but it doesn't get one to the cash-in-the-pocket point.

So, are you a pebble pusher or a boulder roller? What's the biggest boulder you have a hard time with?

    C-O-P-Y-W-R-I-T-I-N-G

I do pretty well with most everything else.
relaying the product to people in a way that hits them with what they need to know and conveys the quality of the product is something that is beyond me I make a good stab at it but fail miserably

You've hit the nail on the head - with me at least.

I'm in the final stages of unrolling an affiliate site in the IM sector, but have been putting off writing my autoresponder series because I'm always stuck for works. I want to sound professional and yet be casual because of my target audience ... argh!

But you're right - if you tackle some of your biggest hurdles early on in your project, the rest of the project creation will typically fly by.

I'm struggling with article writing(specially ezine) and copywriting, finding good back link sources (lot's of no-follow). The rest of it goes pretty well.

My biggest hurdle is BACKLINKING - I hate it, it's time consuming, tedious, boring work. But it has to be done!!!

As a relatively new marketer, who has yet to develop a unique system or create a product, my largest learning curves are getting to grips with my auto-responder, and hosting service. At present I 'practice' by using a site at weebly. My pleasure within marketing has to be the people and the continual learning, I am inspired, motivated, educated, almost every day! When I get to the stage of copywriting maybe it will get easier, the freedom and creativity is fun! I'm not here to make millions, I'm here to achieve as much personal success as is possible for me.

You've all brought up things that are not on my favorite to-do list as well. You're right, it's got to be done though. The good thing is that once you get it done you get a good feeling--sometimes! I've got to go do some of that myself. Ciao. --Mike

My biggest boulder is not knowing what to do next.

That is so true. It's kind of a relief finishing something that you started but kind of a common thing when there are lots of things to finish.
