Is anyone using social bookmarking script or software
(like you see on Digg) that they could recommend please?

Try Onlywire. You sign up for about 50 different bookmarking services and then go to their site and post and the software you download automaticlly booksmarks your post to the 50 or so sites...big time saver.

Yeah, you should take a look at it. Vbulletin is awesome. I have used it and it works well for me.
