I haven't used a service, per se.

However, I did build a link wheel myself which had quite a good effect on my rankings. It seems building a link wheel with 6 articles on different web 2.0 properties is much more effective than building back links using 6 articles.

Link wheels are not as effective as link magnets. The open spoke deters search engine detection and allows link juice to flow without penalty to your main feeder page, which in turn points to one of your website pages of choice with one link only and your targeted keyword.

I have a diagram on my whiteboard next to my pc with my magnet and how I built it. I use this to help me remember my promotion strategy and where to go in the list of sites to hit with linking. I found a link to a product which is non affiliate and shows what I am talking about. He is a member of the WF.

I've Googled it and looked into a couple of them. Actually the first one I saw in a link from some article and they wanted like $200 to $400 dollars. But that prompted me to Google it and the first couple of site are offering it for around $60. So my next question obviously was do the guys actually deliver a quality product. Will It show results.

Ultimately I probably need to learn how to do all this myself but what I'm seeing up front as a difficulty is the need for a straight forward well defined path. So I'm thinking pay for the service and see what they do then duplicate their actions.

You're right, good job on googling it. Most will be around $60, that is what I charge for most, however, the 200-400 isn't off if they were offering multiple link wheels being a link wheel itself.

Okay, the thing with link wheels is that the concept itself will not work, you have to think outside the box to get it to work and not be penalized. You really have to leave NO footprint. Does it work? Yes, if done right it will work.

I think as with all things with Google, nothing is set in stone and if Linkwheels did not worked for one website does not mean it would not work for all of them. Infact, if linkwheel concept was a failure to start with then it would not have generated so much hype.

Wow, so much misinformation in here. Traditional linkwheels that have one link to money and one link to next spoke are considered "closed". These types are easily detectable by the algorithm, and dont work NEARLY as well as they used to. The best way to build a linkwheel nowadays is to build a ring of parasite 2.0 sites that point only to your moneypages. From there, you build links to THOSE parasites creating a funnel that passes juice to your parasite then onto your money.

I've been using linkwheels for more than 2 years now and they are extremely "profitable" if indeed they're constructed the right way. Also, instead of paying on a regular base for a linkwheel service you can buy one of those linkwheel programs, that is if you have the time to do it yourself of course. One program recently launched that does this kind of thing is Auto Traffic Monopoly. It posts your content to 6 or 7 2.0 properties and link them together.

The linkwheel concept that I have read till now talks about interlinking the feeder sites. But this concepts is news for me. BTW what are parasite 2.0 sites? Are they Web 2.0 itself?
