Need help on backlinking strategies, this might be a hard one ;).

I'm working to get my website back to the first page on a new word, that means it's also a new keyword. This word is getting more and more popular every year, but the best part is that there's almost no competition.

I already had a website ranked first page for that keyword (ranked 7th) split-tested and everything, but because I've bought backlinks on fiverr, my website got the G-kick. Which wasn't a real good idea, and I've learned of my mistakes.

Going back to page one isn't very hard, simply because there's almost no competition for Dutch websites, if you search a little deeper! But it is hard to build quality backlinks. It's almost impossible to write articles for that keyword.

Now I'm trying to copy my competitors backlink-strategies, but almost all of them are quite impossible to copy. Website number 3 has 70 rubbish backlinks (could only copy a few) Website number 2 has 90 rubbish backlinks (again most of them are prehistoric and not very easy to copy).

And the rest of the top 10 websites almost have no related backlinks!

I've tried forum comments/feedback answers as well, fairly impossible, because there's only about 10 forums with that keyword in it. So that might get me 2 backlinks.

Edu and Gov. links are out of the picture as well, there's only 2 websites with that keyword in it, one of them is ment for my old website lol.

I don't use linkwheels by the way, they don't seem to work for me.

Anymore strategies I could use

P.s. This keyword alone is good for aproxx 3.6 million visitors a year, without related keywords counted.

You seem to have a really warped way of looking at this. (sorry)

You can get a link just by commenting on a blog, creating a profile, directory submissions, article marketing etc... etc...

Your content doesn't have to be about your keyword for your link to have it.

If you found 100 high traffic/PR blogs and commented about their subjects - your link can still be whatever you want. You usually get the link from the username and website link when you comment - they can be unrelated and you still get your link.

The same goes for everything else. i.e your article can be about football and your link can still be for baby food.

    All links count.

So in reality - you're saying your competitors have 'rubbish' links (although you still be trying to copy them) and there are tens of thousands of easy links you can get to blast them out of the water but you're making it hard for yourself.

I have a very bad experience putting backlinks on random blogs and forums. . I'll comment on random Dutch forums though, I just want to make it look as natural as possible

You will only get problems if your comments a stupid or irrelevant. The name you use and the link are not the problem.

If you want to limit yourself but that's up to you - it makes your easy problem much harder.

I'm working to get my website back to the first page on a new word, that means it's also a new keyword.
Whether the new word is a new brand or new technique of some kind, it has to be related to something else and should have some kind of LSI keywords - even if G has not realized them yet.

So, I don't understand why you couldn't write (or buy) some articles, hitting heavy with the LSI and link at the bottom with your keyword. All will contribute to the meaning of the "new word."

And as mentioned above, use virtually every other known method of linking. Videos, blog comments, etc.

Article submission and web 2.0 properties are a great way of building links.

Just look at this forum - your sig file and your name can be ANYTHING!! (not affiliate links though ) - so why do you think that doesn't apply to thousands of other places too?

Article marketing and forum posts are my favorites for link building, although they should never be the only ones in your arsenal.
