Wordpress Random Link Plugin Idea

I was looking for a plugin that will let me put a widget in my sidebar showing links from all my sites. Rather than have to update every blog everytime I created a new site, I wanted a single file containing all my links so that every time I updated that file, it would update on every blog I had the plugin installed.

Since I don't want to list every site I have on every site I have, I wanted the plugin to pull by category and limit how many links it will show in the sidebar. So if I had 25 sites in category1, 25 in category2, and 15 in category3, I could set the plugin to show 10 random sites from category2. It would also randomly select anchor text, and have the (rel=, target=, and title=) for each link.

I found one plugin that did let me put all my links in a central location, but it forced me to put my links on their server and it also forced it's own link in my list.

Anyway, I spent all day making this plugin today. Basically I upload a single csv file, then install the plugin on all the blogs I own. Anytime I want to add a new site, I simply upload a new csv file. Now every blog I own will have that link available to it via the plugin.

So what do you think? Did I waste my time? Is there another plugin that does all this already and I was just unable to find it?

edit:

BTW - I have it installed on my blog acepage.com - it's in the sidebar and says "My Link Roll". Refresh the page and you'll see the links change. Try not to get carried away - thanks.
