Auto content

Is there a way to generate automatic content on my website based on keywords, where I don't need to know the source. For example, if I want to automatically have content created for classic car restoration, is there a script that will automatically search the web and find related articles and put them on my website?

    There are a few plugins...the best one is WPRobot...but it is considered autoblogging, and care should be advised.

    There are plugins that you can use to upload PLR to your site...I think I saw a WSO for something like that awhile back. Do a search in the WSO section for AutoContent or Auto Posting.

      It's not something I would ever consider, primarily because if Google doesn't already penalize sites for doing it then it's only a matter of time before it starts to.

    Google don't like auto-content for a good reason - it's not original content!

    If you plan to have some adsense revenue on your website, you'll probably getting banned one day or another by them.

      Here is my intent for this. I was hoping to setup some automated news feeds based on keywords, so that everytime something gets posted my script would find it and link to it. For example, I am a Pontiac GTO nut and as you can see in my sig I have a GTO website. Recently, Paul Zazarine, an author of a few GTO books, died. So, instead of knowing where to look for this news or having to check daily, my rss aggregator would scour the net and find it.

      Would Google consider this duplicate content? Is there such an aggregator?

    You could try RSS Ground. You can sign up free, and then subscribe to all the different feeds, blogs, news, twitter, etc. You would generate the feed html codes, and put them on your site. If you need to convert them, then you would actually need to pay for the service.

    They are the only service that I know where you can subscribe to all the feeds in one place. I would not think that google would consider it duplicate content since many people use feeds to syndicate information and news.

    An old way I used to use before Autoblogging was by choosing content from pages on the web, copy/pasting them into a txt file, running a R&R macro in UltraEdit, then chopping up all the content into various sized articles using a Perl function.

    Then used that content with a site builder using a Wordpress HTML template.

    Then mixing it up with fresh content snippets using an CSV file import plug.

    Takes some time, but it works.

    Autoblogging is easier to grow faster.

    Almost any decent content is going to be copyright the publisher. And they are typically not going to provide a full feed. So you'll pull a lot of summaries that link back to their content so you'll basically be doing them a favor.
