Squidoo No Follow? Is it worth it to use on large scale?

I am reading about a program that advocates heavy usage of squidoo and i would be putting quite a bit of time into this building a LOT of lenses.

My only hesitation is that isnt squidoo nofollow meaning any anchor txt i put in DOES NOT count as a backlink to my website right?

If this is true i hesitate to put a lot of effort into this. Is this thinking right?

    What would you do after all that work, then squidoo decides to shut it's doors... or just as bad, start charging you a fee to continue using their service?

    Don't put your hard work into someone elses hands...

    Put your hard work into YOUR websites, blogs, etc...

    I look at squidoo as just another place to advertise MY sites... not much more...

    No, links are not no follow on Squidoo - not all links. Certain links are, like guestbook, rss. Your text module links are do follow, your introduction, etc.

      Thank you tiffany. I was misinformed then. I read something that said not to put any effort into squidoo because it was nofollow. Thanks for the clarification.

    Say what?

    Squidoo is nofollow?

    According to my SEO for Firefox, some links (like Amazon RSS feeds) are nofollow, but others, like my affiliate ones, do not have this restriction. Not one of my links to my other sites are nofollow.
