Downloading Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended Trial via Torrent

Hello guys!


I need your help once again. I want to use the trial version of Photoshop CS5 Extended because I need it for editing my WordPress theme.

I have trouble downloading it from the Adobe website because it takes 8 hours on my connection and I want to be able to pause it so that I can resume it at a later time.

I've looked all over Google to download the trial version via torrent but the results I got were from torrent sites that have the cracked version of the
software.

Do you guys know of where I can download the trial version via torrent
legally? Thanks!

    I have not heard of any legitimate downloads via torrent. Too bad Adobe doesn't offer this themselves.

    Why not download the GIMP instead? The Windows version is only 19.4MB for the stable current release. You can download it from here: GIMP - Windows installers

    The GIMP will open psd files, and has the added benefit of not expiring after 30 days.

    I love Photoshop, and I'd rather continue using my old CS version than switch to the GIMP. But in your situation, the GIMP could easily be the best solution, as well as the fastest.

      You can use a download accelerator such as Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) if you want the ability to pause and resume downloads. I use it for downloading large files.

    As far as I know, Akamai is what Adobe is using and it does allow you to resume downloads. Just use that and you should be fine.

      Already tried that, Apoorv but it went back to zero. I had to download the entire file all over again.

    Just set it up to download overnight while you're sleeping, it's probably the easiest way.

    There are no legitimate copies via torrent and you risk getting a nasty virus if you download software from a torrent site.

    Guys, I realized that I already downloaded the software but I can't install it. The dialog box says "A problem occurred while creating the destination folder. Please check the folder permissions or choose a different folder."


    And even though I changed the destination folder, the same message comes up. What gives???

      You're probably better off requesting support from Adobe directly, or checking their FAQ about that one. Seeing as you now have a legitimate trial version, I'm sure they'll be happy to provide support to ensure you have a good experience with it, in the hope of converting you from trial user to buyer.

        Although not as good as Photoshop, if it's some simple editing, I would use pixlr[dot]com. It's an online Flash-based image editor, no need to download anything, and it can open PSD files too!

    Karl gives good advice. A couple options to try as well.

    1) do you have write permissions to that folder? In other words, if you're not an administrator/root on the computer, you may not be able to actually create the folder for installation

    2) Are you running the installation locally? I mean, do you have the files on the same hard drive where they will be installed? Running an installer program from another computer (across a network) usually bombs

    3) Is there enough free space on the hard drive to expand the files and install? You need at least 1Gb free on windows/2Gb free on Macs PLUS extra space to expand the files before the install.

    You also can't install on removable media in case that's it (like a usb stick)
