Tips for analysing google analytics stats

I have it setup now and can see the traffic and stuff.

What are the main things/trends I should be looking for?

It seems pretty straight forward so far however.

I find this part fun as I enjoy analyzing statistics.

    it depends on the overall goals for your website. Usually, the default data from the dashboard is not all that interesting, unless you are focusing on straight up building data. Some of the main things to do are:

    Segment: there are several default segments like sources, but you can do advanced segments of groups of users based on their behaviors on the site.

    Goals and funnels: it's important to set up goal pages to track what is the final conversion, and then track the process as users get into it.

    Keyword: track the searches into your webpages and what keywords

    if you describe the overall goals of the website there are specific things to look at as well.
