INTERNET MARKETING

If you have a product or a website how do you go about recruiting affiliates to your site?

Do you use a freelancer site?
Post an add?
Just rely on Clickbank?

How do you go about doing this? I would love if you could share your some insights with me and the forum.

1) Try affiliate-announce.com

Haven't used it yet but it comes highly recommended by a top IM guru (can't remember exactly if it was John Reese or someone else)

2) Join newsletters of marketers in your niche. In their emails, you'll find out who they're promoting for. Contact them for a possible JV.

3) Google your competitor's product name (in quotes). You'll find blog and article reviews by their affiliates. You can then contact those affiliates and invite them to promote your product.

You can start by using your signature, here on the WF.
If you are in the IM niche, DigiResults is, in my oppinion, a better place than Clickbank to find affiliates.

Contact others in your niche, provide good affiliate tools, provide REAL proof that your product converts and most of all - get out there and make sales YOURSELF as the product owner.

Once people see it converting you will have no problem getting affiliates...

click bank is good. you can start from click bank and after understanding total system you can shift to other sites if you want. its the basic way to judge any site and also to learn the work.

Finding affiliates is a very time-consuming task. You have to look for them. Use social networking sites and forums like the Warrior forum, Digital Point, etc.

get your product into networks, advertise in aff forums, attend affiliate conferences, advertise in affiliate magazines and publications, find affiliates promoting similar products and contact them with domaintools info, post in blogs

My strongest affiliates have always been my own customers. They are the ones that will tout my products from their point of view, because they have used them.
