Pay for FREE information? What a novel idea!

So, I just saw this new site:

Ongo | Welcome to Ongo. Your news like never before.

You can pay to have all the news sites in one shot.

Now, paying for specialized information (that might be free) is easy and makes sense, but I'm wondering how this site will sustain itself.

What are bookmarks for?

Do you think this will work?

    It depends on the individual. Just because it wont work for me, or i wont do it, doesnt mean that it wont work for others.

    It will work for some, but others will still like searching the net for the news the way they have done before, by searching different sources for the news, especially if it is free.

    Some people don't like change so will stick to their old habbits of searching their old/current news websites, where as there will be other people who wont want to pay.

    I don't think so. Not yet anyway.

    Or perhaps I don't know enough about what makes it better than any of the free news aggregators & personalized start pages available. Though it does seem like this service has an ability to narrow down news topics better than feed readers and such. I'm gonna vote 'no' on this one.
